The drummer who plays with The Who during their performance is modeled after their late drummer, Keith Moon, instead of their actual drummer at the time. This was done at the request of The Who as a tribute to Moon.

Alternate versions
In the episode "A Tale of Two Springfields", after Homer gets attacked by the Badger, Lisa tells Homer to call animal control. Homer then agrees but lifts up his shirt and suggests that they take care of his wound first. In syndication, they cut out Lisa's inquiry on how the badger managed to injure Homer without tearing his shirt, and his reply, "What am I, a tailor?"

Who huddle

By Season 12 'The Simpsons' had gone from ebign consistently funny in all episodes, to sporadically, with more 'skipable' episodes along the way.

This however is a better than average episode, with some very funny moments. It's a novel idea to have the town divided, and the addition of The Who is well used.

The show has by this stage gone from being a realistic but animated sitcom into something more silly, but as I said, this is better than many other episodes.
