The Alien Smuggler Story

An episode that shows migrant smuggling is nothing new. Apart from that there is nothing much to write home about in this debut episode of Dangerous Assignment.

Steve Mitchell (Brian Donlevy) is the American agent who has been told that his friend and fellow agent Allen Prescott is missing. He was investigating a refugee racket in Portugal.

Steve goes to Portugal and pretty soon he finds Prescott dead. It seems his identity was busted. The refugees are also found dead, they had been bound.

Now Steve is chasing a group of people smugglers who take the money, rob the would be migrants and leave them for dead.

Only Steve who is pretending to be a refugee is also made out. It seems his own miscalculation gave the game away.

A pedestrian story, it looks cheap. Some action takes out of camera shot. Some of the acting is poor. Even the story is rubbish. Agent Steve Mitchell comes across as incompetent.
