Mad as a Hatter

At the center of this episode is a research scientist with a great gift. He is able to manipulate the minds of people by putting a hat size card on their heads. They must cotton to everything he wishes. He is a rather homely man who has fallen in love with the secretary in his lab. He feels she will fulfill his every dream, but she is in love with a big handsome hunk. When she breaks up with him, he takes the opportunity to wine and dine her. But the guy comes back and he is devastated and goes on a rampage. The joy of this episode is the use of characters from the Lewis Carrol books. The events run through the story with the mock turtle crying at the end. One can't help but feel the pain of the little guy who now leads a life without hope.
