I really so miss this kind of one off comedy drama, this format seems to have died a death in favour of six part crime dramas. Such a shame we no longer get anything along these lines.
Open wide is a funny, heart warming, zany drama. It doesn't run for very long, just under seventy minutes, which is a shame, as it is excellent from start to finish.
Alexander Armstrong is such a good actor, a shame be doesn't do more drama, he is such a talent. They got the casting spot on here, Griffin, Joseph, Henshaw, all are terrific, the star turn for me was Nigel Havers, who played the creepy dentist incredibly well.
Funny, heart warming, I loved the ending, loved the laughs, they got this spot on. 9/10.
