Actor Karan Mehra, who has marked his comeback to television with the show ‘Mehndi Wala Ghar’, shared his mantra of perceiving a character onscreen, saying he believes in being a “sponge” absorbing and delivering.

Karan was last seen in the 2020 show ‘Shubharambh’. He also featured in shows like ‘Mawaan Thandiyan Chawan’, ‘Khatmal E Ishq’, and ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’.

The 41-year-old actor has been a part of the entertainment industry for more than a decade, and has played a variety of characters on screen.

Opening up on how he perceives a role, Karan told Ians: “I have some way of perceiving a character and then I let the director do his job by guiding me what to do, and what he wants. Every director has a vision, and if we go according to that the work becomes easy.”

Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for hard hitting crime drama series “Scoop” from acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta (“Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story”).

Based on journalist Jigna Vora’s 2019 memoir “Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison,” the series is created by Mehta and Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul (“Thappad”). The book recounts how renowned journalist Jyotirmoy Dey was murdered by members of the Chhota Rajan gang in 2011. A few months later, fellow journalist and crime reporter Vora was arrested in connection with the murder.

“Scoop” marks Mehta and Netflix’s maiden partnership and the series is set up as the first season of a franchise. Mehta has directed all six episodes of the first season.

The series follows Jagruti Pathak, a headline-writing journalist who is caught between the nexus of the police, the underworld and the media. “It explores that nexus through a personal story,” Mehta told Variety.

Inspired by one of India’s successful rescue missions from a war-torn country, Aaryan will play a pilot who spearheaded the operation and displayed exemplary bravery and courage in the process. Aaryan stars in Netflix’s upcoming film “Dhamaka,” a remake of 2013 Korean film “The Terror Live.”

Mumbai, March 26: Actress Bipasha Basu was moved to tears while watching current beau Harman Baweja's performance in "Dishkiyaoon". She says she finds him "endearing" in the film.

Mumbai, March 18: Actor Harman Baweja has resurfaced after five years to rebuild his dwindling career with "Dishkiyaoon". Talking candidly about the wrong choices he made, he said one should take criticism in the right spirit and move on.

After his debut debacle "Love Story 2050", he had two releases: "What's Your Raashee?" and "Victory". Both films released in 2009 and further dented his career.

"You have to reinvent yourself. In this industry, people criticise not just your work but you as well. So, it gets personal and you have to take it in the right way," Harman, son of filmmaker Harry Baweja, said in a group interview.

The film, that also features actor Sunny Deol, marks the debut of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty as producer.
