Towards the end, when Jim is flame-farted and Terje try to save him, you later see Jim lying on the ground with smoke coming out of his hair. This smoke is cigarette smoke the set decorator, prop assistant and production assistant blew into his hair right before take.

Goofs
When Jim and his mom are discussing the party, the letters on the refrigerator change from "ASRTID" to "ASTRID" to "ASITRD".

Crazy credits
At the end of the closing credits, right after the Dolby Digital logo, there is a strict warning about the flame fart stunt that was performed in the film. Translated from Norwegian to English, it would read:

WARNING! The flame fart stunt in this movie is done by professionals. If you were to try anyway, you must remember to squeeze again immediately, and wear at least one layer of clothing. If not, the flame can go inside and burn up your whole ass. PS! Apparently there was a guy in the US who burned up his entire intestinal system and died.

Coming-off-age film with an original angle

This Norwegian coming-off-age film has an original angle, a good heart and a plot which only occasionally comes off as contrived. Director Arild Frölich demonstrates some stylistic flair and commands the narrative quite well, even if some of the interpersonal scenes seem rushed and a little bumpy. Young lead actor Petrus Andreas Christiansen as Jim does a very good job in carrying the film's drama, even in segments where his young co-stars are floundering. Atle Antonsen, as the father of the title character, is a fun comic relief as always. The script was written by Endre Lund Eriksen, based on his own novel.
