There was no script. The entire film was improvisation.
Despite the film's subject matter (hate crime), there is no actual onscreen violence (except for some minor pushing and shoving).
The second half of the film was so intense for the actors that they often remained in character even when the camera wasn't rolling.
The movie was shot in sequence over a period of just 4 days.
