Stumbling upon the 2004 Japanese movie "The Locker" by random chance here in 2023 and seeing it was a horror movie, then of course I opted to sit down and watch it. I had actually never heard about the movie prior to getting to watch it. But it being a Japanese horror movie was more than sufficient to make me interested in watching it.
The writers didn't exactly manage to put together a particularly compelling or entertaining storyline and script here. And that made for "The Locker" being a rather mundane and boring viewing experience.
There was nothing scary about the story told in the movie. I guess you really have to be Japanese in order to find moving hair scary.
I have to admit that I found "The Locker" to be a really boring movie, and it was a struggle to sit through the entire movie, despite of it running only at 71 minutes.
The acting performances in the movie were dubious for the most parts. It felt as if the actors and actresses themselves didn't really buy into the script that was given them to work with.
Visually then "The Locker" was just a so-so movie. You're not in for anything grant or spectacular, should you opt to sit down and watch this movie.
"The Locker" came and went without leaving a lasting impression on me. It is a movie that will slowly fade into oblivion and never be brought out into the light of day and seen a second time.
My rating of "The Locker" lands on a three out of ten stars.
