Groundhog Day popularized the idea of a character (Bill Murray) forced to relive the same day over and over again. The movie was very funny, but also sweet, poignant and romantic. Ever since then, filmmakers have been drawn irresistibly to the tantalizing premise, adding their own distinctive spins, as in the terrific Run Lola Run, Timecrimes, Source Code, Edge of Tomorrow and this year's Before I Fall. The horror genre has been well-represented as well, with titles like Camp Slaughter, Triangle and Haunter. Now a new approach to the premise is on its way. Happy Death Day starts with a young woman waking up in a college dorm room with no memory of how she got there. Soon enough, however, she discovers that her life is in danger if she can't solve a horrible...

What's Jon Fleming, of the deliciously gory slasher opus Camp Slaughter (aka Camp Haze) and the recently released Frat House Massacre, all about? ....Well in his own words - Sex, drugs and rock and roll. Ever since starring in Camp Slaughter, Jon Fleming has either surprised, shocked or titillated horror fans either playing the type of killers that audiences love to hate, a love interest in the cult favorite Dante's Cove or using his sex appeal to provoke a response. Jon Fleming is certainly one actor that can't be labeled as boring. We here at Big Daddy Horror Reviews will be keeping an eye out to see what bold movie Mr. Fleming will be making next. In the meantime, check out what Jon Fleming had to say when we picked apart his brain with this interview.
So who is Jon Fleming and what are you all about?

Frat House Massacre Synapse Entertainment is getting set to unleash director Alex Pucci's (Camp Slaughter) latest horror film effort onto an unsuspecting movie public. Filled with all sorts of sordid situations including tasteless nudity & sexual situations, brutal hazings, disco dancing and, for good measure, a few thoughtful moments of character development, Frat House Massacre stood out as one of the ten best horror films of 2000 -2009. And now it is finally coming to DVD in its Uncut version!
During its theatrical and festival run, Frat House Massacre was presented in both 95 minute and 116 minute versions. Frat House Massacre will be arriving to DVD in the latter version (116 mins.) on August 9th. Special features include:
• Audio commentary by Pucci
• Audio commentary by the crew
• Making-of featurette
• Deleted scenes
The two male leads of Frat House Massacre are both veterans of campy horror themselves. Rane Jameson starred in Skullheads for Full Moon Entertainment.

Matt Dallas from the now defunct hit TV series Kyle Xy turns 28 today! The actor got his start in the indie slasher Camp Slaughter (aka Camp Daze) from director Alex Pucci in which a group of friends find themselves lost and stranded with a broken down car at a camp in the middle of nowhere. However, this is no ordinary camp. It is stuck in a time warp where everyone is forced to relive their death day after day after day. The film had an original premise, took risks, but a big reason this film worked was because of appealing performances from Anika C. McFall and Matt Dallas who were just absolutely engaging presences in this movie.
Shortly afterwards, Matt Dallas hit it big with Kyle Xy. The show was an instant hit in its first season and Matt Dallas shot to popularity. However, when the show returned for its...

Anika C. McFall was the final girl of director Alex Pucci's Camp Slaughter. Wow! A strong black female in the leading role. Anika C. McFall brought strength, personality, and a dimensionality to this role. She wasn't just your typical final girl who ran around and screamed. She was so much more. The slashers of yesteryear like Sean S. Cunningham's Friday the 13th or The Burning didn't have the courage or conviction to do that. Camp Slaughter also featured a young Matt Dallas from the TV series Kyle Xy. We had the chance to ask Anika a few questions about her role in this film and what she's been up to. Here is what she had to say.
So who is Anika C. McFall and what are you all about?
I'm a hybrid! Part edgy vixen, part girl-next-door! I am a Gemini so there's always that ever changing, ever evolving mystique,...

Scripter Trevor Wright gave Fango a couple of exclusive pics (see ’em below) from The Green Monster, a new indie chiller he wrote and co-produced. Bryan Roberts and Nolan Bell directed the Untold Horror/Screamkings Productions movie.
“The Green Monster is my first solo screenwriting feature, following my co-writing work on Pete Jacelone’s Sculpture,” Wright tells us. “It originally began as a short film. I wanted to explore the problem of young women who give birth and then throw their babies away. Bryan and Nolan over at Untold Horror got their hands on the script and wanted to expand it into a feature, but that was something I really had no interest in doing. I felt that it functioned well as a short piece, and didn’t want to make an hour and a half of depressing social commentary.”
Instead, that brief screenplay became the feature’s opening sequence,...
