Witty and Heart-Warming
Meet the Sorelli sisters. Ginnie, the oldest, is a lawyer and lives with her husband Bob. She is maternal and caring and raised her sisters, since their mother died when they were young. Ann, the next sister, is a psychologist who recently ended her long-term relationship and is feeling unstable. Marjee is the wild one, quick with a witty comeback and sarcasm, but also lots of love for her sisters. She works as a party planner. Rose, the Sorelli baby, is in college and is juggling acting ambitions with medical dreams and two prospective boyfriends.
Related is the kind of show that I find myself wanting to mock, but can't because it weaves the mushy sister moments with irony and humor.
Jennifer Esposito, Kiele Sanchez, Lizzy Caplan, Laura Breckenridge, and Callum Blue make up the kind of cast that anyone would hope for.
Let's just hope it makes it to another season.

Witty with Heart
I must first say that I wasn't looking for a new show to watch. My T.V. schedule was full with other shows; however, I kept hearing about this show called "Related". I decided to give it a chance, a friend had all the episodes so I decided to watch the first four in one sitting. I was very pleasantly surprised. It is well written and the actors know how to act. There is enough diversity that you can relate to at least one of the characters if not bits of each them. The story lines are good and make you interested in seeing more. I really love the interactions between the sisters, as well as their interactions with the men in the series. Related is a show about family relationships (father/daughter, the new step mom-to-be/the girls, husband/wife, and of course the sisters), as well as relationships between potential boyfriends and the women. This is a show which you can laugh with the characters, as well as cry. I am glad that The WB has added this show to their Monday night line-up to hopefully give it a chance to survive.

Loved it!
Great theme song for starters, quite catchy. I looked forward to watching this show every Monday... was it? It was a while ago forgive me. My memory isn't so hot. I do remember loving this show, rushing home from work so I could watch it from the 1st second to the last second. Too bad it was short-lived by WB moving around and what not, that confused the hell out of me. Right when I found a show I actually worked my schedule around to make sure I watched it, the station makes extensive changes and wipes my show off the air, poof. Oh well I'll just be grateful for the one season I did get to watch. The actors were beautiful, heart-felt, and funny. Damn good show, I miss it. Bring it back!!
Terrific show!!!
Wonderful cast. I loved this show . Would love to see a streaming service add this and maybe revise or do a movie to tie the loose end up.
Reminded me of the show Sisters, which is another show that should be streaming.
Netflix, Hulu , HBOMAX ,or Peacock get this shoe!!!

One Of The Best Shows Out There
In The Beginning at First i was like this is going to be dumb i don't why the makers of this show even try it's just like all the others show on TV right. wrong the first time i watched this was the First One The pilot and i was like wow this shows kind of good .Then after that i was hooked i fell in love With Bob Ginnie Ann, The Whole Cast. with me looking at this show it really did touch me in a way a lot of show on TV can't it gave me a full dose in what i see in everyday life. it has feeling, family, friends, love, marriage, wanting,& sisterhood all that is best in life To have .what i took from this show was the power of family how they all drive us nuts all time & how they have the power to say the right Things.I was Like These Woman are Really Just Like Me. There Not a Character made Up There Real. They Cry About The Same Things I Cry About, They Want to Find That Someone To Love And For That Someone To Love Them Back Just like i Do. "Related" Is The Best Show On TV Today. Please Don't Take This Show Off The Air Save Related Put In On The CW........

It's Too bad good shows don't get a chance
The show focuses on 4 sisters of various ages and basically goes through all the thrills of sex, love, lies, and family. It did every thing a good show should; it didn't have cliché's, except all the ones we love, it didn't rush story lines and it had enough touching, yet not corny moments to keep it genuine. Plus, it was funny! Not stupid, but real life funny. This show was great in my opinion, but new shows on basic cable channels barely get more than a season's chance... it was excellent but it competed with the OC, so people, of course, paid no attention. Well, it probably is not coming back, but if it's on DVD I'd recommend u watch it.
So Related basically brings the worst from Sex and the City and Friends.
As above. I don't know why, but I've found myself watching three consecutive episodes of this show and not because I find it particularly good or entertaining, but because it airs right before my favourite (and only) show. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Furthermore, I am completely convinced Related will be cancelled sometime next year, mostly because Laura Breckenridge is one of the worst actresses I have ever seen in TV history. She is a squeaky little mouse that overacts and whose voice is so high-pitched I am occasionally forced to change the channel momentarily to save myself the embarrassment and headache.
Lizzy Caplan (from Mean Girls) also overacts, but she has comic talent, so it often works for her. I love Jennifer Esposito and think she is the light of this show, but very rarely does she succeed comically. The cast are good-looking enough, but this detracts from any realism the show was aiming for.
Related is not witty; it is not original; it is not well-acted. The creators are the people behind Sex and the City and Friends, but Related lacks the edge and originality of the former and the comedy and dynamics of the latter.

I actually like the show
I am usually into shows like Friends and Smallville but I actually fell in love with Related it's a really good show. They act like real sisters who are very different, they don't always agree and they each have their own individuality which makes it easy for anyone to relate to at least one of them. Ginnie is the older one, the "Always does the right thing", at first she kind of annoyed me with the voice but as the show went on it kind of mixes in with her character somehow and it works, Anne I still have yet to understand, Marjee is crazy, she's basically the screw up and Rose is just unpredictable....I mean when I first started watching the show I thought I had her all figured out but she keeps surprising me. It's a funny show and very entertaining, sometimes you think you know where it may lead and then you don't, I never miss it, if I have to go out I record it.

This Show is so funny and kind of touching too
Come on who wouldn't like this show (other then men)? I think it's a delight. 4 different sisters with 4 separate lives who are best friends and worst enemies. Sound's like a chick flick hey? oh well. Why not? It's good! My favorite is Ginny. She's picture perfect but shows her insecurities and her sensitivity in the show a lot. She is the symbol of women everywhere really. Then there's Anne, the sweet one who is the most responsible. Then Marjee, The crazy little party girl who needs to grow up. Then the actress, Rose. She the youngest and most naive one. These four clash with each other but yet they wouldn't have it anyother way. It's just a cute show. Don't cancel this one either TV!!!!!!!

Related is great!
I really like this show.
People have complained that because it's from the creators of Sex & The City and Friends, that it should be amazing. No one will remark that the first four episodes of those shows were groundbreaking. But for someone looking for a replacement of those great shows, you will be disappointed. Someone looking for a great show about family, you will be pleasantly pleased.
Related is ensemble cast driven, giving fair time to each actress. I think the story lines are funny, thoughtful and have a lot of room to expand for many seasons. I like that the four sisters have distinct personalities and dialog. The highlight is Jennifer Espisito. She plays a very warm, caring older sister. It's much different than what I've seen in her before, and she does it well.
I am a girl that grew up with all brothers and when I watch this show, I instantly connect with the images I have had my whole life of having sisters.

Good Stuff
I saw a preview for this show last summer, and it looked interesting so I checked it out. While it took an episode or two for me to begin to understand the characters, I began to adore them! Each sister's character is well-developed,which is definitely a highlight of the show. I appreciate the WB for creating a show that is not necessarily for young people. I think this show captures a much larger age range, and the writing is getting better as the season progresses. While it is a Drama, it does have a lot of humor as well. Give this show a chance, I love it! I think network television should be trying to develop more shows like this, rather than reverting to reality television to fill every time slot.
I need another sister......
Ginnie is my oldest sister---always right, always bossy, but always necessary to bail us out of messes. A little high-maintenance, but you gotta love her anyways! Anne is my middle sister---practical, someone you can count on, whether you need a shoulder to cry on, or need to vent, and usually stable, both mentally and emotionally! I however am a cross between Marjie---always getting into trouble, and usually knowing that it's coming, but helpless to stop myself. She's good at her job, and loves the work, if not the coworkers, and that keeps her from putting her foot down for what she wants or needs.---and Rose---The baby! She's a little spoiled because she's the youngest, and doesn't have to take responsibility for her actions. She finds school (especially science) a piece of cake, but is willing to throw that away for a life in the theater.
They were raised by their Dad, the owner of an Italian Deli, since their Mom died when Rose was three, and Ginnie and Anne were in high school. This show is REAL life, not REALITY. Breakups, first babies, first plays, first loves, and watching your father fall in love with someone new. "Related" never leaves a dry eye in the house. Even the theme song hits close to home. "I love you, I hate you, you know too much about me! I'd leave you, but who'll tell me how to live? Don't tell me how to live!" This is a must see for anyone who has ever had a sibling, or anyone who missed out on having a sibling!

Give it a chance
I, too, thought very little of "Related" when I watched the first episode, but the 2nd and 3rd episodes were a lot better, with funnier dialogue and more interesting story lines, and since then, the show has become one of my favorites. Lizzy Caplan (who played Lindsay Lohan's Gothic best friend in "Mean Girls" - and I actually like her better in this) is hysterical, hostile and vulnerable all at once, and I think her career is going to take off. There is something very real about her, and she reminds me of Kate Winslet. She's the reason I kept watching after the first few episodes.
The other sisters have risen to the task as well. The greatest transformation has been Jennifer Esposito, who at first appeared to be whining too much. However, over the season, this capable actress has developed a convincing, dynamic character. She is now balancing her comedy with the dramatic skill that earned her well-deserved kudos in "Crash".
This show speaks to me for the same reason that Gilmore Girls garnered my viewership for the past six years. It is a show for and about intelligent, well-rounded, flawed (human!) women. Sex is dealt with honestly but not exploitatively, and the characters dress like real women rather than MTV pinup girls. The problems they encounter resonate with us, from wanting to fit in during college, to trying to figure out what to do once thrust into the "real world", to dealing with painful breakups, to learning the painful lesson that it takes more than love to make a marriage work. And perhaps we all have a bit of each of the characters within us. They have the power to remind us of ourselves as well as occasionally give us insight into some of the other women we know.
I hope that the new CW network will realize as I did that "Related" can fill a TV-void that many female viewers may not have realized that they had.
Now they just need to keep working on getting the background music right...

give it a chance!
I didn't see this show advertised. I didn't know it was from the creators of Sex and the City and Friends. I just happened to flick to the channel. It wasn't the pilot, it was about 4 or 5 episodes in. And it was entertaining! Its funny and cute and I think it has a lot of potential. Maybe the first episode wasn't that great, but most series start off slowly. Friends and SATC were much better by the end than they were in their first seasons. So no, I haven't seen the first few episodes, but I'm watching every week now. All I'm saying is to give Related a chance. Every episode has at least a few great moments and it'll only get better with age. Go in with no expectations and enjoy!

"Related" Surprisingly Entertaining
This show is just so much more then I thought it would be. I was half-expecting another drama that would get boring in a few weeks, but I found myself wanted to watch more of Related. The character Ginny played by Jennifer Esposito is a little annoying sometimes but keeps up with the others when it counts. The character Anne however has WAY to much drama in her life, as wrong as it was to see her hook up with a college guy, couldn't help myself from thinking "good for you". Marjee is by far my favorite, she's free spirited and actually really funny to watch, she has a great character and I personally believe that Lizzy Caplan is a good actress. Rose's character has begun to blossom and I think will slowly but surely be more enjoyable to watch. And to finish, who DOESN'T love a cute British man trying to live a life with a crazy wife and her three CRAZY sisters. "Related" is actually really funny and entertaining. If you haven't given it a shot yet, I strongly suggest you do.

I really like Related
This is a really good show especially if you like shows about siblings like sisters. The thing I like the most is the characters and the actors that play them. They are all funny and its a good show to watch. Now I'm not saying it's the best show in the world for everybody but I think most people who like shows with the things I wrote about it will like it. I don't like saying this but when I saw the pilot I wasn't very interested in it but after my friend said she liked it I checked it out again and found that you have to watch it for a while and get into it and then you'll probably love it like me. It has just the right amount of drama and the story lines for each character are cool to see.

This is a great show
this is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows this season. it has gotten moved around so I've missed a couple of episodes but overall has been smart and true to some life issues that a lot of other shows gloss over.
My mom died from cancer 3 years ago and I still miss her. This shows is so much more real in how it deals with losing someone close to you. I am always annoyed in TV & movies how quickly people move beyond grief.
Grief is one of the most profound and changing experiences of ones life. And it is difficult to deal with, so most of the time...it is glossed over.

I found this show to be awesome!
I have watched every episode of this show and I really like it!!And believe me it takes a lot for me to like a show this day and age. A show doesn't have to be like Friends or Sex in The City for it to be a hit. In fact I like it because it's not like those shows. If everything was the same don't you think life would get a little boring. Please give related a chance. The Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes were very moving. I think this show sends a good message to it's audience and I would like to see it stay on air for a while. It talks about how children deal with the death of their parents and I think could really shed some light on the subject for some people. I also think that the relationships that the four sisters have are very real, just because you have three other sisters as well doesn't mean that everyone has the same relationship that you do. This show sheds light on many different subjects that I feel should be on TV right now. Come on give it a chance, watch it once and you will get hooked. If you like Gilmore Girls you will love this show, the sisters carry on just like Rory and Loreli!!

3 out of 4
Well, at first, I thought this show wouldn't be that good. But I kept in the back of my mind that Martha Kaufman had produced it and since I like Sex and the City a bunch I gave it a chance. My first impression was that it wasn't that good cause I only knew two actresses and I didn't really like Jennifer's performance, I still don't, she's always a bit overacting. But the other three sisters are amazing. Lizzy Caplan stunned me, I really wouldn't have expected this after Mean Girls. But she does a marvelous job. She brings a bit of fire in the show. But off course she wouldn't be able to do it without Kiele Sanchez who makes a breakthrough here and Laura, who really shows she's got it in her.
So, the story's good, put well together so far, it's getting better with every episode. The only hing that also might bother some of you is René, not because she acts bad, but because of the character she has to play, it's just so annoying to watch at. So overall I really love this show but don't expect Sex and the City cause it's completely different, not worse, but I'm sure that it won't last as long as Sex and the City.
A 7.5 out of 10 I say. Watch it!!

Close to home
I find the show to be a great escape from reality. There is a support group which many can only hope for and there, watching the show has made me realize that I would love to have some sisters to help me through some of my major life issues. Although the show is not as witty as Sex and the City or as funny as Friends it is a lot more close to home. The issues and obstacles the sisters must overcome in any particular episode and the topics covered every week are the same things we are faced with everyday. It is definitely not the two iconic shows of the past but then again there will never be another Sex and the City or another Friends so I say lets enjoy the simple pleasures in life and this show is a sure fire simple pleasure.

Big Disappointment
This show was advertised as "from the creators of Sex and the city and friends" so I was hopeful. It did not deliver. The show is about 4 sisters living in NYC. They're all different in their own way. It is about their lives and this dumb thing called "the phone chain" where they all get in touch with each other via "phone" (insert laugh track). The show is infused with the most irritating background music throughout which I suppose is to instill certain feelings you should have in each scene because the dialogue/plot alone is not enough.
The show is sort of a soap opera I guess. All the sisters have their own little dramas, but coming from a family of 3 girls I see their relationships as artificial, and that goes for the dialogue as well. I didn't find this show to be happy, sad, funny, dramatic or anything. I just thought it was disappointing. Not to spoil anything, but of course at the end of the show (which I imaging will be the same trite ending to all episodes) there was a big gushy hallmark moment.
Definitely not "friends" or "sex and the city". Not even close.

mistake
correction the married sister is Ginny, Ann is the one who just broke up with her boyfriend, Danny, Margie is the screw up who moved back home, and rose is the one in collage who switches from premed to experimental theater. also when i fist saw the show i didn't think it was very good either but when i saw it again, when they did the repeat, it was definitely better, although it was disappointing that it was not as funny as it appeared in the adds. and one more thing does anyone know who the actor is who plays Alex, the guy rose likes, he looks really familiar. if ANYONE DOES PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH THE NAME MY E-MAIL IS PURPLELEFUNT@YAHOO.COM (NO CAPS)
