BBC Studios, the commercial arm of the U.K. public broadcaster BBC, said on Tuesday that it has named Richard Knight director of audio, BBC Studios Productions, starting in January. Reporting to Ralph Lee, the CEO of BBC Studios Productions, he will join the company amid continued growth in podcasting.

BBC Studios said the move comes as it looks to grow its audio unit “to take advantage of new creative opportunities in the U.K. and globally.” As part of that, it confirmed on Tuesday a previously outlined plan to move selected factual, entertainment and drama audio content from the BBC’s in-house production team to BBC Studios as of April.

Side characters – or secondary characters – are usually those funny guys and gals who hang around our leads and give us moments of levity and brevity as the movie unravels.

More often than not, as the credits roll on these films, we sometimes end up loving the secondary characters more than the primary characters, as they’re many times the most memorable things from not-so-memorable movies. Even still, in horror, particularly slasher films, side characters are crucially instrumental components of rounding out these movies where the kills and death sequences take more of an immediate focus than the story itself.

During Becky Milligan’s more than three decades as a journalist, she still remembers her encounter with a bottlenose dolphin, Freddie, that touched people in the British seaside town of Amble in the mid-1980s and 1990s. Here’s something no one expected when this summer began: “Oppenheimer” has now grossed more at the box office for Universal than “Fast X.”

In its fifth weekend in theaters, “Oppenheimer” has reached $717.8 million in global grosses. In doing so, it has passed the $704.7 million global total of the latest installment of the “Fast & Furious” series, a tentpole franchise for Universal.

Guess what? We don’t have to guess what anymore. What We Do in the Shadows’ season 4 finale doesn’t give all the answers, but it breaks through walls to try. The vampire mockumentary series has made a running gag of breaking the fourth wall, and leans back into it for revelations, brisk rebuttals, and sad goodbyes. “Sunrise, Sunset” closes the chapter by erasing much of it. We can almost hear Nadja’s (Natasia Demetriou) lulling tones reminding the audience to forget what we should have remembered.

"We would spend time in front of the stove together," he tells Popsugar, adding that she would often tell him stories about his late father, Freddie Prinze, who died nearly one year after he was born. Sarah Michelle Gellar shared a hilarious story about her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., while chatting with E! News at the Crazy 8 back-to-school event. The actress opened up about parenthood, saying she and Freddie "split everything pretty fairly." At one point, she revealed that Freddie may just be a little stuck in the '90s. "He wants to know when we're buying our Trapper Keepers," she said. "I was like, 'Sweetheart, you're old, we don't have Trapper Keepers anymore.' We're showing our age."
