The Magician: Hi folks! You wanna know what's going on? Let me tell you the story of Rayman! In Rayman's world nature and people live together in peace. The Great Protoon provides and maintains the harmony and balance. Sorry folks, this apparently can't last! One fateful day, the evil Mr. Dark steals the Great Protoon and defeats Betilla as she tries to protect it. The Elections who used to gravitate around it, lose their natural stability and scatter all over the world! Troublesome isn't it? And untidy too. RAYMAN

"RAYMAN" is the most challenging, irritating, stupefying, beautiful game I have ever played. This game has to be one of the most artistically made games ever, and by that I mean high art, because it's those mellow backdrops, bouncing mushrooms, fleshy-fleshed plants, wandering fish, pumped up villains, crazily eye-pleasing level designs, and astounding sound effects and music that always draws me back and has done since I was a little boy.

I was surprised at how quickly the brand changed from that gently charming aesthetic and hard as nails gameplay over to the uglier, darker, sillier designs of the sequels, but this RAYMAN will always be the hardest, the most beautiful, and the best.
