After an entire half-season of build up last night, The Walking Dead finally introduced Negan. The reveal landed with a resounding “thud,” and not the kind fans were hoping for. But long before those final moments left us all wanting, a lot of nonsensical puzzle pieces had to fall into place. So I have to ask: Are the Saviors magic? Warning: Spoilers Beyond This Point. Scarier than Terminus. More organized than the Governor. Better staying power than the Wolves. The Saviors were supposed to be the game-changing Big Bad™ that would upend the zombie world order as we know it. They’re supposed to be terrifying. Instead, they’re cartoonishly evil and it's hard to be scared of cartoon villains. Case in point: last night, The Walking Dead season finale gave up the pretense of being a dramatic tale of survival in a post-apocalyptic world and became an elaborate Wile E.

Rutger Hauer is a Hobo with a Shotgun: I probably heard about the grindhouse trailer contest surrounding the 2007 release of Grindhouse, but I forgot all about it and wasn't paying attention to its results, but it apparently has spawned an upcoming feature film for the winner. Jason Eisener's trailer for Hobo with a Shotgun will go from being a trailer basd on nothing, to a test reel for a feature length film starring Rutger Hauer. There are no specific details on the story, but if you watch the not safe for work trailer to the right and consider the title of the film for a moment I am going to have to assume Hauer will play a hobo... with a shotgun. Just spit-balling here of course. Filming get underway today in Halifax, Nova Scotia. And for those wondering, Dave Brunt played the hobo in the trailer. [AICN]

Not only was this one of the best episodes of the season, it was coupled with some of the tenderest and ridiculous moments in series history. Let's start at S/C: Guy MacKendrick walks into the office (hence the title being something literal, and...
