Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has been appointed the new chairman of National School of Drama (Nsd). The prestigious institute announced the news on Thursday on its verified Twitter account.

"We are glad to inform Hon'ble President of India @rashtrapatibhvn has appointed renowned actor & Padma Shri @sirpareshrawal as chairman of @nsd_india. Nsd family welcome the legend to shower his guidance to Nsd for achieving new heights," read the tweet.

Veteran actor of Marathi and Hindi films Viju Khote, who was popular for his Kalia character from the 1975 cult classic "Sholay" is no more. He was 78.

Viju passed away early on Monday, family sources said. He is survived by his actor sister Shubha Khote, who was elder to him by five years. Their father Nandu Khote was a noted stage actor too, and he worked in movies during the silent era.

Actor Rajpal Yadav best known for the comic character he portrayed in films like Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Hungama, Chup Chup Ke, Garam Masala, Phir Hera Pheri and many others, was sentenced to 10 days Police custody by the Delhi High court. The court's ruling came after a complaint was filed by a Delhi based entrepreneur that accused Yadav and his wife of concealing facts about a Rs.5 crore recovery suit filed against them.

Initially, the hearing on the case was scheduled for Monday, December 2, however due to the absence of Yadav and his wife, despite repeated warnings the matter was adjourned till today. In its latest ruling by Justice S. Murlidhar, the Delhi High Court apart from issuing a contempt of court notice to Yadav and sentencing him to police custody has also asked Yadav's wife to remain present in the Registrar General's office till the rising of the court.

Bollywood Hungama has learnt that Neetu will soon be seen in Greek producer Kyriakos Tofaridis's (of The Last Homecoming fame) film Home Sweet Home. Kyriakos, has spent four years working on the script, and was looking for someone to play a serene Indian girl but with gusto and confidence. Neetu was the perfect fit.

There were a few reasons one would have been looking forward to the release of Desi Boyz. Not only did the movie mark the return of the two hunks following the success of Garam Masala in 2005,Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, but it was also heavily anticipated because it would carry on the run of successes of male-centric films. The last few years have seen a number of such films; Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Delhi Belly and 3 Idiots to name a few. Mumbai, Nov 21: John Abraham did Dostana with Abhishek Bachchan and Garam Masala with Akshay Kumar. The Desi Boyz is the latest film between Khiladi Kumar and John Abraham. The two stars seem to bond closely with each other more so now than they were earlier.

John says that he was a little bit different at the time of shooting of Garam Masala but now is more at peace with his own skill and craftmanship. He is more confident now and so has bonded well with his earlier co star namely Akshay Kumar. They both share a better on screen chemistry now than they had earlier.
