Ran is the story of 5 men in the business of armed robbery. We are thrown almost immediately into the action, when we see them rob a money transport. The story goes to their new job, "Tellesentralen" (Directly translated "Counting Sentral, to describe it simply - a place that handles a LOT of cash).
It also covers their relationship from they met as children, how they involved into criminals, and the struggles they had growing up.
It is in my opinion a very good show, that not only has gotten the story well, but touches something very serious, and that is the growing rate off violent armed robberies in Norway, where the criminals are heavily armed and well trained. The last one being last years robbery of NOKAS in Stavanger where one police officer was killed when the robbers opened fire on the Police with various weapons such as the HK G3 and AK47's.
This is most definitely worth watching if you can get a hold off subtitles.
