Mumbai, June 18: Pakistani actress Meera, who debuted in Hindi films with 2004 movie "Nazar", says she believes in competition and wants to compete with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.
"I hope I get to do many more good films and I want to compete with A-list actresses in Bollywood. I want to compete with Priyanka Chopra and I would also like to share the screen space with her. This will give me an opportunity to prove myself and the audience can see the other side of me," Meera told Ians.

Mumbai, May 15: Director-producer Ajay Yadav regrets his decision to rope in Pakistani actress Meera for his project "Bhadaas" and rues that she has back-stabbed him by refusing to promote the movie.
"Forget about the promotions, she hasn't even compeleted the film. She didn't even come for the dubbing," Yadav told Ians.
"She has back-stabbed us and now when I called her for the promotions, she said she will not promote as she is busy with some other work. She said you go ahead and release the film and that she will not come for promotions," added the filmmaker.

New Delhi, Feb 27: Pakistani actress Meera, who made her Bollywood debut in Mahesh Bhatt's "Nazar", will step into the shoes of legendary Meena Kumari for the "Pakeezah" remake.
The film was first made in 1972 by late director Kamal Amrohi and now his son Tajdar Amrohi is producing the remake.

Karachi, Jan 12 (Ians) Pakistani actress Meera was stopped at Karachi airport on Tuesday for possessing two passports, a media report said.
Meera had arrived at Karachi airport from America via Dubai, Geo TV reported, adding that the the Federal Investigation Agency (Fia) had seized both passports and sent them to its headquarters in Islamabad.
“Meera is under investigation,” the channel said, without specifying whether she had been detained.
Meera had come into prominence when she appeared in the Bollywood film “Nazar” in 2005. Meera was paired opposite Ashmit.
