- Crete, Greece, 2000. Somewhere in a small Cretan village, Andipas, a spirited 12-year-old boy, dreams of becoming a runner. As Andipas turns the entire village into a running track, even small errands can become a race against the clock. But more than anything, the kid wants to watch his idol, Greek sprinter Konstantinos Kenteris, win the men's 200m final event in the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics and hear the national anthem.
