Trivia
The major funders of this film were Willis and Dorothy Miller, of Orange County CA. Willis was a B-24 Liberator pilot who survived 30 missions over Germany in a plane nicknamed "Starduster."

Goofs
The plane at the airfield where Tommy is working circa 1946 is marked "United States Air Force". This term was not used until September 1947. Until that time the branch was called the United States Army Air Forces. Additionally, army air force planes at the time were never labeled as such, instead using insignias for identification such as the ones shown on the B-24.

Crazy credits
The credits at the end of the film list the crew members of the B-24 Liberator Bomber (The Starduster) piloted by Willis Miller in World War II.

Very refreshing movie

I think that this is a very refreshing movie. I was not assaulted with gore, foul language, unnatural "acts", rape scenes or unwarranted violence. Maybe the plot was "predictable", but didn't we know what was going to happen to the "Titanic"? The story and the acting were great and I enjoyed this "refreshing" movie. This movie gives us a small window into the the lives of the "Greatest Generation" that endured World War II and the aftermath. Our nation is forever indebted to this generation of Americans. I enjoyed the the "look" of this movie. It was beautifully shot. Some movies seem to be able to "pick you up and take you there". Beautiful Dreamer did that. I hope that there are more movies of this type in the future.
