Ek Daku Saher Mein is a 1985 film, directed by Kalidas and produced by Sundeep Kumar. The film stars Suresh Oberoi, Sarika, Amjad Khan, Ashok Kumar, Shakti Kapoor, Kalpana Iyer and Bharat Kapoor in lead roles. The film had musical score by Rajesh Roshan.

Durjan Singh lives happily with his wife Radha and new born daughter but his world turns upside down when Radha is raped by Lala Manohar Lal following which she commits suicide.Durjan kills Lala while his son Vijay swears to revenge his fathers death,Durjan turns a Dacoit terrorizing the region once an injured Durjan takes shelter in the Church and requests father D'Mello to take care of his daughter who agrees on a condition that he wont ever meet her.Years later Durjan sees his daughter Ranjana has grown up under care of father D'Mello and is eager to meet her, he also finds that she is in love with Rakesh.Durjan finds that Rakesh's father isn't keen to marry them for being the daughter of a Dacoit and kidnaps Rakesh who in turn tells him that Ranjana will be heart broken if she finds her father is Dacoit Durjan Singh and so does happen.Durjan Singh and his gang surrender themselves and are imprisoned for few years,when he is released from of jail he goes to stay with Rakesh and Ranjana who are now married with a kid but Ranjana isn't happy to welcome him.Rakesh gets framed by Vijay for having a relationship with Rita following which Ranjana leaves the house but Durjan clears their misunderstandings. Things are back to normalcy but old habits die soon as Durjan is caught while stealing expensive diamonds from an exhibition where Rakesh is the security head following which both land up in the jail.—alex.mjacko@gmail.com
