I know, I know. Next is an obviously scripted show. However, it sure as hell was funny and entertaining. It didn't dumb me down so it's a safe show.
Next is a dating show where 4-5 guys or 4-5 girls cramp themselves in a bus to try to date a guy or girl (picker) who is waiting out of the bus.
During the date as soon as the contestants step off of the bus the picker can say Next or keep dating that person. Sometimes a contestant would step off the bus and the picker would say "NEXT" because they did something goofy or were unattractive.
The picker and contestant would do the typical dating activities, sometime they had goofy obstacle courses. At the end of the date the picker will say "You've been on the date for 45 minutes do you want to keep dating or leave and take the cash". Many episodes end in heartbreak, funny or happy.
They have obvious rehearsed one liner disses.
It was a stupid show because it was so fake. However, , it was a funny show to watch in order to past the time. It wasn't serious or obnoxious like today's dating shows.
Superficial, yes.
Verdict: Next was a funny ass goofy dating show. I liked it.
