When Huo Yuanjia and Master Chen fight in the restaurant, Huo slices the top of Chen's head, yet when Chen is brought to his house the cut is gone.
During the climactic fight scene, Huo Yuanjia wipes his face on his sleeve, and some vomit gets on the chest of his shirt. The next time you see his sleeve, it is clean, and the next time it is also clean.
In the beginning of the movie, Anno Tanaka is shown wearing his blue robe, then the white vomit-stained robe, which does not appear until the end of the movie, then the blue robe again.
The bangs on Moon's forehead change drastically when she comes to see Huo off.
The stains under Huo's mouth change when he's at the table during the fight with Tanaka.
The film depicts Huo as being both a widower and childless at the time of his death. This is completely wrong as he was survived by his wife and five children when he died.
Though the film takes place in 1910 and before, the western fencer Li faces in the beginning of the film uses a cavalry sword designed by George S. Patton in 1913. While very similar in design to earlier British cavalry swords, the Patton saber is readily recognizable by the lack painted hilt.
