Jatin Pandit, one half of the now-disbanded composer duo Jatin-Lalit, releases his first non-film single, "Dhadakte rehna" on Friday. The video of the song, incidentally, stars his son Raahul Jatin.
"My son Raahul Jatin heard the composition and loved it. The song started growing on us, that's when Raahul suggested that I should record this and release it as an independent single," says Jatin.
The romantic ballad is composed, sung and penned by Jatin Pandit. The music video, featuring Raahul with Jessica Lopez, is directed by Harper Gahunia and is shot in California, US.
"I was waiting for some people to join me in my studio, (so) I just picked my guitar and this hook line started flowing through me. I instantly recorded the tune and completely enjoyed creating it," Jatin adds.
"I'm glad that all aspects worked out in spite of the Covid situation, and now we are going to release it.

Noblemen
Starring Kunal Kapoor, Ali Haji, M K Raina
Directed by Vandana Kataria
Seeing a film without knowing much about its subject matter and the way the plot is likely to go, can sometimes put the audience in an awfully uncomfortable situation. The discomfort of the familiar is what we get in this week’s two releases. Article 15 takes us into a deep dive to witness the horrors of the caste system.
Noblemen takes us into another kind of grim and horrific reality. While campus bullying is an easily identifiable scourge of our social system, just how deep it runs is put forth by debutante director Vandana Kataria in a film that spares us none of the trauma and horror of a gentle soft gay 15-year old grappling with a school of homophobic bullies.
The performances, specially of the youngsters is delightfully unaffected. Ali Haji is seen in a splendid emotional swirl.

So, the expectations were high. What the makers didn't account for was the sensibilities of the Telugu audience. A movie based completely on dialogue, breaking the fourth wall, reasoning through relationships and trying to evolve as people - these are strange territories. Next Enti ends up looking like the guy who has no clue where he is, but won't ask for directions. With Tamannaah (Tammy) and Sundeep Kishen (Sanju) at the helm, the movie takes a look at the average couple pretending to be above average. The guy is horny, and six months into the relationship, he is disappointed he is not getting much action. They break up over this. Tammy,...

His seminal work Foundation extended from its original trilogy to 7 books and spun off into a separate trilogy called the Robot series. In this work Asimov lays down the 3 laws of robotics and most importantly the zeroth law which the robot central to the story learns for itself. So powerful is the series that many have made movie adaptations on these novels. The latest of these is Rajnikant’s Enthiran, which having been a success overnight with Superstar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles, has taken on a new part in 2.0 with the addition of Akshay Kumar in a villain’s role and Amy Jackson replacing Aishwarya. Due to its high-octane action-packed nature, there isn’t much time allocated for songs, thus Ar Rahman has 3 songs to dazzle with.

Remember Ali Haji, who played Naina aka Lara Dutta's son Rohan in the 2007 comedy film Partner, has now grown up to be a good looking teenager. And after 9 years, the young lad who didn't like Prem aka Salman Khan in the film, had a sort of a reunion when he recently met the Dabangg Khan on the sets of his controversial reality TV show Bigg Boss 10. Ali Haji was very excited to meet his mentor and favourite superstar Salman after so many years and certainly made him nostalgic at that moment. Once cute, now dashing, Ali was looking dapper in formal sky blue shirt and black pants teamed up with a pair of black loafers.

One of the best actresses in Indian cinema, Tabu has given outstanding performances in films in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and Hindi film industries. One of the qualities that makes her such a good actress is that you never feel as if she is acting. She completely commits to her role and the arc her character goes through and she takes us on that journey with her. The actress has garnered rave reviews, as well as 2 National Awards, been awarded the Padma Shri for her contribution to cinema and many other awards during her career so far and she is still going strong.

Looks like Ranbir Kapoor is a very loyal friend. The actor who is the next big thing in Bollywood has always returned the favour of friendship in whichever way he can. The actor has done something similar with childhood friend Binoy and the director claims that Ranbir will star in his next film.
The director said, “Ranbir loved the story but suggested that it needed a few changes. I am working on it. We should roll once all the details are finalised. Directing big actors is a tough task; the script has to match Ranbir’s rhythm. It is settled, sealed and dusted now for filmmaker Kunal Kohli and writer Jyoti Kapoor. When Kunal's acting debut for Phir Se seemed under threat, courtesy Jyoti alleging plagiarism charges against him for similarities with another story written by her, it seemed that the film had met a deadlock. Even though the promo of the film had been unveiled quite some back, everything came to a standstill when the matter reached court. Well, not anymore as Kunal is free to release the film now. In return, Jyoti would be paid an amount of Rs. 25 lakhs as settlement. This is as per the decision that has been taken at the Supreme Court. "I am happy as now we all can move on," says Kunal who took the Court's suggestion of 'mutual settlement' in his stride and agreed to the logistics, "The Court did make it clear that the film's release could...

Dum Laga Ke Haisha is the latest offering from Yash Raj Films starring Ayushmann Khurrana (Vicky Donor) and debutante Bhumi Pednekar. It also marks Sharat Katariya (of Bheja Fry fame) changing gears from writer to director.
It film features music by Anu Malik (Main Hoon Na), composing after almost two years, his last being Shootout at Wadala. Lyrics have been penned by Varun Grover while vocal talents featured consist of Monali Thakur (‘Sawar Loon’ – Lootera), Papon (‘Tu’ – Bobby Jasoos) and Kumar Sanu (no introduction needed).
The album gets off to a stunner of a start with Moh Moh Ke Dhaage by Papon. The track is very reminiscent of Anu Malik’s more nuanced work in Asoka and Refugee. The orchestration is beautiful as is the haunting melody. Couple with equally beautiful lyrics and a flawless rendition from Papon, the track is any easy winner. ‘Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’ is repeated...

Out of all the characters that you will come across in an Indian film, one that you will rarely see go astray is a mother. That too, the hero’s mother. She is an entity that restrains him with no physical bounds, gives him strength like no other energy drink, drives him to lengths beyond imagination (all within 2.5 hours) and without her, teaches him lessons universities worldwide have yet to discover. From being a sari clad soap opera box drama queen to a sophisticated career driven business magnet, she has transformed in front of us but one thing remains. The positive energy one feels from our filmi “Ma”. It may be a scene or a song, but she is there and her love unconditional. Yes, there may be some stories that forget about her, yet there is no denying, our cinematic mothers have sometimes been the saving grace for our films.
