The carousel music heard in the movie and over the end credits is a recording of an actual 1920's Wurlitzer Carousel Organ.
Almost all of the props, wardrobe, and vehicles in the World War II sequences were authentic military items from the era, including some weapons and uniforms that had actually seen combat, plus a medical stretcher, copies of "Stars And Stripes," a knife / brass knuckles combo (used in both World Wars), and various jeeps, tanks, and ambulances.
