I ran across this small series on the web and instantly fell in love. Aside from being a big Jack Black fan, all of the episodes (excluding the animated one) have the great cheesy computer editing that makes it hilarious as well. Just the idea of Jack black in his underwear with a hollowed out monitor on his head and a keyboard tied around his neck should be enough for anyone to view these at least once. Complete with poor acting, bad special effects, Jack Black's theme song, and horrible plots, Computerman is a must for die-hard Jack Black/Tenacious D fans. All in all it's definitely worth searching out and viewing. But you don't have to take my word for it.
I recently had the pleasure of being introduced to Computerman via the Tenacious D website. I am very pleased this happened as it introduced me to, what I believe, could have been a classic TV show. The theme, being that a man accidentally crosses his DNA with his Computer which thusly creates Computerman, is incredibly original and the way that it is presented is both unique and quite bizarre. I couldn't personally compare this to anything else as I don't believe that there is anything else quite like it anywhere in the world. If you are a fan of Jack Black or you know a little about computers to find the funny side then I strongly recommend that you check this out. Unfortunately the series was cut short before there could be any closure so you'll have to make up your own mind as to what happens next but don't let that make an impression on you as to whether or not you should watch the short series. All in all, this is a top quality series that looses its way about half way through which I believe is why it was cancelled, but, like I say, you should check out this 'could have been a classic'.
