Over the years, Jeffrey Dean Morgan has worn many faces. He has been a figment of Billy Butcher’s imagination; he has been a psychopath among The Walking Dead, a horrible father to Sam and Dean Winchester, and even starred in the occasional rom-com. However, many may think that his career trajectory did not start when he played John Winchester in Supernatural.

Although Morgan has played many iconic characters in his career, the very first role that can be labeled as the same has to be Denny Duquette in Grey’s Anatomy. Playing the character in three seasons of the series, he was beloved in more ways than one.
During an interview, Morgan talked about how starring in the series made him a heartthrob and kick-started his career into what it is today.

When Sophia Bush left NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” after four seasons, it changed the popular police drama in a lasting way. There were reportedly problems on set with her co-star Jason Beghe, which led to the writing out of her character, Detective Erin Lindsay.
Bush played Lindsay from the start of the show, giving the character a unique journey from street criminal to police officer. Beghe, who plays Sergeant Hank Voight, was accused of acting inappropriately, which led to her leaving the role. According to NBC, Beghe had “ongoing anger management issues,” which led to the actor publicly apologizing.
Bush made it clear that she chose to leave the show by writing on Instagram, “Took me a long time and a lot of hard work to get out of that show.” Please don’t put down my abilities by lowering my place. It was my choice to leave. The end of the story.

Grey’s Anatomy has set up the upcoming exits of cast members Jake Borelli (Levi Schmitt) and Midori Francis (Mika Yasuda). And in a typical Grey‘s fashion, after slowly and methodically building the groundwork for Levi’s departure in the Nov. 7 Episode, “Night Moves,” the series threw in a shocking Yasuda surprise at the very end of the episode.
Adelaide Kane, Midori Francis cr. Disney/Anne Marie Fox
After an unplanned extra night shift, Yasuda fell asleep at the wheel of her beloved van while taking her little sister home after her cancer surgery, resulting in a head-on collision. A promo for next week’s episode, titled “If You Leave,” shows that both survived the accident and are rushed to Grey Sloan where Yasuda starts coding. Her fellow interns try to console a despondent Jules who had just had a sweet heart-to-heart with Mika hours earlier.

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about NCIS, Agatha All Along, The Summit, Svu and more!

Dedication cards are important ways for TV shows to honor those close to them. Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 6 did that with a dedication to Daniel K. Hoh.
There are times that we’ll know who the person is immediately. We’ll remember a report about their death, or there may have been something in the episode to commemorate the passing as well. There are times that the dedications are a little more personal to the show, and they may be people fans know less. That doesn’t mean they weren’t important.
Daniel K. Hoh was a writer on Station 19
Hoh was an important part of the Grey’s Anatomy family. He served as a Station 19 writer and executive story editor for multiple years, bringing his own medical expertise to the storylines. Yes, he was a real-life physician, who was able to consult as well as write.

Grey’s Anatomy spoilers reveal what happens to Midori Francis’ Mika Yasuda.
The November 7 episode of Grey’s Anatomy (Night Moves) ended on a huge cliffhanger, leaving many fans worried.
Mika Yasuda is a surgical intern at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. She began her hospital internship the day after a tornado hit Seattle.
Actress Midori Francis joined Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Mika Yasuda in Season 19, following a stint on The Sex Lives of College Girls (as Alicia).
Near the end of the November 7 Grey’s Anatomy episode, Chloe (Mika’s sister) woke up from her hospital bed, and the sisters decided to head home.
Mika was coming off a double shift, but noted that she “had a pretty good night” before saying, “Let’s go home.”
The writers and producers intentionally set up viewers with some upbeat music in the final segments of the episode, but then the scene shifted to an exhausted Mika while she was driving.

Well, it’s been a while since the writers have given us quite so much in one episode, but Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 Episode 6 proved that they’ve still got it.
For a while, it’s felt as if the show wanted to play it safe, opting for easily resolved storylines with happy endings.
All that went down the drain with this latest installment, and as happy as I am about the drama of it all, it means we need to prepare for some heartbreak.

Tonight marked an exciting cast change as Sophia Bush made her first appearance as Dr. Cass Beckman, a trauma surgeon who works at Seattle Presbyterian.
The episode opens with an awkward date night between Teddy and Owen, who recently decided to make more of an effort to repair their marriage.

“Grey’s Anatomy” began saying goodbye to Dr. Levi Schmitt in this week’s episode — while teasing a potential tragic ending for Dr. Mika Yasuda.
Fans have expected to bid farewell to cast members Jake Borelli and Midori Francis, who play Drs. Schmitt and Yasuda, respectively, since reports surfaced earlier this year that both would exit the ABC medical drama sometime in Season 21. While both actors have taken part in substantial storylines this season so far, Thursday’s hour solidified one of the goodbyes as a potential happy ending, while the other doctor might not make it out alive.
Episode 6, titled “Night Moves,” followed as the Grey Sloan Memorial hospital doctors did their typical juggling of tense medical cases with personal troubles. As he considered a medical research opportunity in Texas, Levi spent the hour being wooed by Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Dr.

There are a lot of relationship issues coming up in Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 6. Could one relationship come to an end?
When we heard that Sophia Bush would guest star in Grey’s Anatomy season 21, we were excited. However, it does look a little like Bush’s character is going to have a similar storyline to one of her One Tree Hill co-star storylines from a few years back.
Think back to season 9 when Dr. Lauren Boswell came into the story. Hilarie Burton’s character led to the demise of Calzona after Boswell made it clear that she didn’t care that Arizona was married. She was going to encourage an affair and then just walk away. Could we see that happen with Bush’s character?

The season four premiere of Outer Banks brought the Netflix show back onto the streaming charts — but with only half a season released this time, it fell well short of its last premiere.
The YA drama delivered 1.19 billion minutes of viewing for the week of Oct. 7-13 (season four debuted Oct. 10), good for second place overall in Nielsen’s streaming rankings. By comparison, season three’s opening week in February 2023 — which featured the entire season released at once — drew 3.15 billion minutes of watch time.
The half-season release (part two premiered Thursday) for Outer Banks undoubtedly played a part in the lower viewing time total. Season four of Emily in Paris similarly had a sizable decline with a half-season premiere in August (but season three of Bridgerton in May did not).
Netflix’s dating show Love Is Blind led the Oct. 7-13 charts with 1.23 billion minutes of viewing; no other show crossed the 1 billion mark.

CBS just made our Mondays a lot more exciting, ordering full seasons for NCIS: Origins and Poppa’s House!
Fans of the NCIS universe are in for a treat, with more backstory on a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
Comedy lovers can look forward to even more laughs with Damon Wayans and his real-life son, Damon Wayans Jr., in Poppa’s House.

NCIS: Origins takes us right into the heart of Gibbs’ beginnings, set in the ‘90s, with Austin Stowell stepping in as the young Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
This prequel is packed with classic NCIS grit.
Gibbs’ tough-as-nails mentor, Mike Franks (played by Kyle Schmid), guides him at the Camp Pendleton office — back when NCIS was still Nis.
As fans know, Mark Harmon, the original Gibbs, narrates, adding that perfect touch of authenticity to his younger self’s story.

There was a time when “TV movie” didn’t mean cheesy rom-coms or throwaway thrillers. It meant high-stakes drama, impactful cultural events, and millions of viewers glued to their screens.
Made-for-tv movies were “event television” before that term even existed.
These films took on bold stories, pulled in top-tier talent, and covered issues from nuclear war to domestic violence — sometimes sparking national conversations that kept people talking for weeks.
(ABC/Screenshot)
But as TV evolved, the made-for-tv movie lost its place in the lineup, edged out by reality TV, serialized dramas, and eventually, streaming.
Here’s a look back at the heyday of made-for-tv movies, why they faded, and how they left their mark on today’s TV landscape.

NBC’s newest sitcom, St. Denis Medical, is still about a week away from its two-episode premiere, but if you’ve been watching literally any programming on the network, you’ve already been barraged with commercials that may have put you in the mood for a comedy that revolves around sick people and the professionals who look after them. While you kill time in the waiting room, here’s a selection of the best medical sitcoms you can stream instead. Doing so in a paper gown is optional.

Is Dr. Archer leaving the Chicago Med cast, or is it Dr. Lenox? Many Chicago Med fans asked that question after the latest episode.
So why are folks asking about who is leaving Chicago Med? The contentious relationship between the characters sparked it, but so did a new NBC promo.
Steven Weber plays Dr. Dean Archer on Chicago Med. Weber joined the show midway through Season 6 as someone from Dr. Ethan Choi’s past.
As Choi (Brian Tee) dealt with personal struggles, Sharon Goodwin put Archer in charge of the Emergency Department (Ed).
Archer held that role for several seasons (mostly) but was shocked when Goodwin added Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos) during the Season 10 premiere.
Dr. Lenox was made the co-chief of the emergency department (Ed) at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, creating friction between how she wanted to run it and how Archer was used to doing things. Lenox proposed changes,...

There’s something uniquely fun about a TV spin-off – it’s like revisiting old friends in a new place or meeting side characters – ones that you thought you would never meet again but hadn’t realized you wanted to know better.

What’s also oddly thrilling about spin-offs is how they surprise us. Some go in directions we never expected. And in certain instances, these shows even outshine their original outings, taking on lives of their own. Here’s a ranking of 30 of the best TV spin-offs ever, considering their popularity, quality, and if they indeed, lived up to or superseded the original.

Maybe it’s because of everything going on in the world, but somehow, the one-week wait for Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 6 felt much longer than it was.
The episode was worth the wait, though; we got a decent mix of action and character development over the course of the hour.
I have more questions now than I started the night with, but I’m choosing to trust that the writers won’t lead us astray with the stories they’re telling.

The elephant in the room this season is Chief Dom Pascal.
He floated in on a cloud of mystery in Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 1, and we don’t really know much more about him than we did a couple of months ago.

Grey’s Anatomy is one of the longest-running primetime shows of all time. Eventually, all good things have to come to an end, and it’s getting to the point that this medical drama may want to wrap up the storylines.
I know; it’s blasphemous as a Grey’s fan to say this. I do just think that shows should end on a high and not feel dragged out. At times, this drama does feel like it’s dragging. Here are my four reasons for Grey’s to end.
The storylines are repeating themselves in Grey’s Anatomy
When it comes to storylines among the doctors, it’s hard to feel any shock or surprise. A lot of the storylines are repeating themselves. We’ve seen Owen and Teddy struggle with their marriage multiple times, and we’ve seen Ben constantly go back and forth on what he wants to do in life.

Warner Bros. is seeking to throw out a lawsuit filed by the estate of Michael Crichton, which argued that the forthcoming Max series “The Pitt” is an unauthorized reboot of “ER.”
Crichton was a creator of “ER,” having written the original pilot script based on his own experiences as a medical student. His widow, Sherri, sued in August, accusing John Wells, Noah Wyle and others of going behind her back to create “The Pitt,” which she alleged is “ER” in all but its title.
The studio filed a motion Monday arguing that the two shows are distinct and the lawsuit is doomed to fail.
“‘The Pitt’ is a completely different show from ‘ER,'” the motion states. “Plaintiff cannot use Mr. Crichton’s ‘ER’ contract as a speech-stifling weapon to prevent Defendants from ever making a show about emergency medicine.”

Warner Bros. Television filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit from the Michael Crichton Estate accusing the company of breach of contract, arguing its upcoming Max medical drama “The Pitt” is not a derivative work of “ER.”
The lawsuit alleged that after a lengthy, years-long negotiation to make a reboot of “ER” that ultimately fell through, Wbtv, John Wells, Noah Wyle and R. Scott Gemmill took the concept and reworked it to become “The Pitt,” a drama that follows frontline heroes working in a Pittsburgh hospital. The suit alleges there are only three major differences between the series that was in negotiation and “The Pitt”: the location of the hospital, Wyle’s character name and the estate’s involvement.
However, the studio argued in its motion, filed Monday and obtained by TheWrap, that “The Pitt” is a “completely different show” and that the plaintiff cannot use Crichton’s “ER...
