Although Morgan has played many iconic characters in his career, the very first role that can be labeled as the same has to be Denny Duquette in Grey’s Anatomy. Playing the character in three seasons of the series, he was beloved in more ways than one.

When Sophia Bush left NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” after four seasons, it changed the popular police drama in a lasting way. There were reportedly problems on set with her co-star Jason Beghe, which led to the writing out of her character, Detective Erin Lindsay.

Bush played Lindsay from the start of the show, giving the character a unique journey from street criminal to police officer. Beghe, who plays Sergeant Hank Voight, was accused of acting inappropriately, which led to her leaving the role. According to NBC, Beghe had “ongoing anger management issues,” which led to the actor publicly apologizing.

Bush made it clear that she chose to leave the show by writing on Instagram, “Took me a long time and a lot of hard work to get out of that show.” Please don’t put down my abilities by lowering my place. It was my choice to leave. The end of the story.

Grey’s Anatomy has set up the upcoming exits of cast members Jake Borelli (Levi Schmitt) and Midori Francis (Mika Yasuda). And in a typical Grey‘s fashion, after slowly and methodically building the groundwork for Levi’s departure in the Nov. 7 Episode, “Night Moves,” the series threw in a shocking Yasuda surprise at the very end of the episode.

After an unplanned extra night shift, Yasuda fell asleep at the wheel of her beloved van while taking her little sister home after her cancer surgery, resulting in a head-on collision. A promo for next week’s episode, titled “If You Leave,” shows that both survived the accident and are rushed to Grey Sloan where Yasuda starts coding. Her fellow interns try to console a despondent Jules who had just had a sweet heart-to-heart with Mika hours earlier.

Grey’s Anatomy has been welcoming some new faces for the last couple of years, such as Natalie Martinez, now a regular as Dr. Monica Beltran. The show is balancing the various characters around yet always room for more to come in. That includes Sophia Bush as the Chicago Pd/One Tree Hill star made her debut on the Thursday, Nov. 7 episode and it was wild!

The episode opened with Teddy and Owen trying to have an evening out together amid their busy schedules. They ran into fellow surgeons David Bekman and his wife, Cass (Bush) at the restaurant. An emergency called Owen and David away, and their wives decided to ditch the fancy eating for fries and drinks at a bar.

Southern Charm is officially down one gentleman. Jarrett Thomas (aka “Jt”) announced on Friday that he has “resigned” from the Bravo reality show after two seasons.

“Yesterday I informed Bravo that I will not be participating in the … remaining green room interviews [before Season 10 airs], and that I no longer wish to participate in any ways moving forward with the TV show,” Thomas wrote in an Instagram post. “I will leave it at that for now, while I work on next steps to recover both physically and mentally from what has been an extremely challenging and exhausting year.”

The November 7 episode of Grey’s Anatomy (Night Moves) ended on a huge cliffhanger, leaving many fans worried.

Mika Yasuda is a surgical intern at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. She began her hospital internship the day after a tornado hit Seattle.

Actress Midori Francis joined Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Mika Yasuda in Season 19, following a stint on The Sex Lives of College Girls (as Alicia).

Near the end of the November 7 Grey’s Anatomy episode, Chloe (Mika’s sister) woke up from her hospital bed, and the sisters decided to head home.

Mika was coming off a double shift, but noted that she “had a pretty good night” before saying, “Let’s go home.”

The writers and producers intentionally set up viewers with some upbeat music in the final segments of the episode, but then the scene shifted to an exhausted Mika while she was driving.

Well, it’s been a while since the writers have given us quite so much in one episode, but Grey’s Anatomy Season 21 Episode 6 proved that they’ve still got it.

The season four premiere of Outer Banks brought the Netflix show back onto the streaming charts — but with only half a season released this time, it fell well short of its last premiere.

The YA drama delivered 1.19 billion minutes of viewing for the week of Oct. 7-13 (season four debuted Oct. 10), good for second place overall in Nielsen’s streaming rankings. By comparison, season three’s opening week in February 2023 — which featured the entire season released at once — drew 3.15 billion minutes of watch time.

The half-season release (part two premiered Thursday) for Outer Banks undoubtedly played a part in the lower viewing time total. Season four of Emily in Paris similarly had a sizable decline with a half-season premiere in August (but season three of Bridgerton in May did not).

Netflix’s dating show Love Is Blind led the Oct. 7-13 charts with 1.23 billion minutes of viewing; no other show crossed the 1 billion mark.

Exclusive: Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting) and Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy) are in talks to star in Emma-Kate Croghan’s dramedy The Household Guide to Dying, based on the book by Debra Adelaide.

The film marks Australian director Croghan’s return to features after a 25-year absence. The director first made waves in 1996 with debut Love And Other Catastrophes, which garnered five Australian Film Institute award nominations and was picked up by Fox Searchlight.

She followed that up in 1999 with Strange Planet, starring Naomi Watts, but has only returned since then to direct a segment of music documentary I’m Only Looking: The Best of Inxs back in 2004.

Film Bazaar, the film market that runs alongside the International Film Festival of India (Iffi), Goa, is partnering with Film Independent’s Global Media Makers program to launch a television writing workshop led by “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Army Wives” writer-producer Marlana Hope and Indian filmmaker Bikas Mishra, director of upcoming feature “Bayaan.”

The four-day Episodic Storytelling Workshop will take place at the Marriott Goa from Nov. 19-22, focusing on developing content for international audiences. Maybe it’s because of everything going on in the world, but somehow, the one-week wait for Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 6 felt much longer than it was.

The episode was worth the wait, though; we got a decent mix of action and character development over the course of the hour.

Grey’s Anatomy is one of the longest-running primetime shows of all time. Eventually, all good things have to come to an end, and it’s getting to the point that this medical drama may want to wrap up the storylines.

I know; it’s blasphemous as a Grey’s fan to say this. I do just think that shows should end on a high and not feel dragged out. At times, this drama does feel like it’s dragging. Here are my four reasons for Grey’s to end.

The storylines are repeating themselves in Grey’s Anatomy

When it comes to storylines among the doctors, it’s hard to feel any shock or surprise. A lot of the storylines are repeating themselves. We’ve seen Owen and Teddy struggle with their marriage multiple times, and we’ve seen Ben constantly go back and forth on what he wants to do in life.

Warner Bros. Television filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit from the Michael Crichton Estate accusing the company of breach of contract, arguing its upcoming Max medical drama “The Pitt” is not a derivative work of “ER.”

The lawsuit alleged that after a lengthy, years-long negotiation to make a reboot of “ER” that ultimately fell through, Wbtv, John Wells, Noah Wyle and R. Scott Gemmill took the concept and reworked it to become “The Pitt,” a drama that follows frontline heroes working in a Pittsburgh hospital. The suit alleges there are only three major differences between the series that was in negotiation and “The Pitt”: the location of the hospital, Wyle’s character name and the estate’s involvement.

The Penguin audience is still growing ahead of the finale.

Episode 7 hit a series high of 1.9M cross-platform U.S. viewers across HBO and Max on Sunday night, according to Warner Bros. Discovery, showcasing a 6% same-day audience increase in the last two weeks.

The company says that the week leading up to last night’s episode was The Penguin‘s strongest week domestically on Max, likely in anticipation of the upcoming finale on November 10.

Meanwhile, the first episode has now amassed over 16M viewers, Wbd adds. That’s 2M more than last time the company reported the viewership for the premiere in October.

Best known for her role as Dr. April Kepner in the hit ABC series Grey’s from 2009 to 2018, Drew left at the end of season 14 and went onward to investigate other roles behind the camera. Drew has experimented with a wide range of positions in the entertainment industry since she moved on.
