I actually thought this was a great piece of entertainment. J.C. Mac and Chicco were both excellent and very confident in their roles, and there was a self-knowingly funny brief cameo by Dave Courtney. I thought visually the film was very strong, with great editing, and the music was atmospheric, the end track sung by Chicco summed the film up perfectly. I thought it was interesting how the dialogue was all in Iambic pentameter, and this may not be to everyone's tastes but it sets the film apart from a score of other shorts I have seen recently. The opening was highly reminiscent of Desperado. The acting from the supporting players was not perfect but it was perfectly serviceable and the ending was extremely funny indeed. Well worth seeing.

I saw this film in London and I thought it was one of the funniest films I have seen for along time. The plot was marvellous, and the directing and acting was brilliant. JC Mac was outstanding, and the narrator was excellent. The look on the old lady's face at the end was hilarious, and the dog was quite scary too. To have written, directed and produced such a good short film took real talent. I hope there will be many more comedy films by this writer and director, as talent like this should be recognised. The music was well written into the film and we all held our breath in anticipation of what the outcome of the "bet and challenge" was to be.
I saw Winner Takes All at a screening in London and thought it was a slick piece of Hollywood. It was shot beautifully, the Direction was excellent and the leading players entertaining. A hilarious story. From the beginning you were hooked. The narration of the story was very clever I thought. I'm not surprised that it has been selected for so many film festivals. I enjoyed the performance of the main cast. Actor Jc Mac is definitely an action man! And though her screen time was short I thought Lauretta Lewis lit up the screen. A foxy Lady indeed! I would love to see more of her work. The camera obviously loves this little lady!
I enjoyed this short film in Miami and it was so funny, the audience loved it and there was laughter throughout. A very clever story with a very funny twist. It was well directed and well acted. I like the style of this director and would like to see more of her work. A strong performance from the actors. I fell in lust with "Lovely Lady". WOW. Lauretta Lewis is hot! This actress has screen presence and looks fantastic on the big screen. More Please!! All in all I would give this film a 10 out of 10 in style, editing, direction, performance, looks and originality. Well done for giving us a short that is in a league of its own.

I saw this film at its New York's High Falls Film Festival screening as well and I must say that I found it a complete and awful bore. Although it was funny in some places, the only real laughs was that there appeared to be o real plot to talk about and the acting in some places was dreadful and wooden, especially the "Lovely Lady" and the voice of the narrator (whom I have never heard of) had a lot to be desired. J.C.Mac was, I felt, the redeeming feature of this film, true action and grit and (out of the cast) the only real acting. I am sure with another cast and a tighter reign on the directing, this could have been a half decent film. Let us just hope that it is not sent out on general release, or if you really want a copy, look in the bargain bin in Lidl.

I saw this short film at the wonderful Miami Film Festival, and must say it was very refreshing. It's pretty short - no more than 6 minutes, but had the whole audience roaring with laughter right through to the end credits. Well directed and well acted. Very original, and far from the usual depressing stuff we see from British short films these days. Great music, and I notice that the score was composed by one of the actors in the film. Neat twist in the tail that will leave you screaming with hilarity and shock! I don't know if this film is still doing the festival circuit, but if it is then I recommend you try to see it.
I saw this at the Great Lakes Film Festival and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to see it again. Funny, witty and Chico looks gorgeous! Its so different because of the narrative aspect of the story. The story is entertaining and with a strong cast. The Stranger is gorgeous and I'm envious of the Lovely Lady who gets to kiss him but have to say JC Mac and Lauretta Lewis have "Chemistry" on screen. There were a couple of actors in the beginning saying one word that didn't sound so convincing but the rest of the supporting cast were so good that you could forgive this. One of the best short films around. I would love to see this again. Where can I get a copy?

I thoroughly enjoyed this short film from beginning to end. The beat of the music enhanced the rhythm of the story. I felt that it was well directed and moved at a good pace. The setting was well chosen. Characters portrayed were from a strong cast with one or two notable performances. The choice of costumes were appropriate with a good use of red for emphasis. The story built and progressed in an amusing way and I felt that I was rooting for the main character from early on in the film. The humour was slick and sometimes almost slapstick but also very cleverly acted. I would like to see more of the work of this director....
