Emma Roberts weighed in on the allegations raised by the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries.
The Investigation Discovery series featured former Nickelodeon stars retelling their experiences on the set of shows produced for the cable network under Dan Schneider’s leadership.
Roberts starred in Unfabulous, a sitcom created by Sue Rose, which ran for three seasons on Nickelodeon.
“It’s inexcusable,” she said in an interview with Flaunt about the sexual harassment allegations. “Kids need to be protected, adults need to be protected.”
The experience that Roberts had at Nickelodeon was different with her mother on the set with her.
“I have been lucky with the family I have and the people that I’ve worked with,” she added. “I try to keep doing my job and keep my head down.”

Taking a bold stance to challenge the prevailing narrative surrounding “nepo babies” in the entertainment industry, Julia Roberts’ niece Emma Roberts became a vocal advocate for the conversation. Sitting down for an interview with the magazine Flaunt, the Madame Web actress attempted to reshape the idea about individuals with familial ties to established Hollywood figures.

Emma Roberts is continuing her campaign to change the narrative around “nepo babies” in Hollywood.
The American Horror Story star recently claimed she’s “never gotten a job” because of her famous father Eric Roberts or even her aunt Julia Roberts, but has “lost a couple” of roles because of them.
“I’ve lost more jobs than I’ve gained from being in the business,” Emma Roberts told Flaunt. “People have opinions and sometimes maybe they’re not good opinions of people in your family. I’ve never gotten a job because of it, I know I definitely have lost a couple of jobs because of it.”
After her breakout leading role on the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous (2004-2007), Emma and her aunt Julia both appeared in Garry Marshall‘s 2010 ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day.
But somehow, the Madame Web actress avoided being mentioned in New York Magazine‘s 2022 “Nepo Baby” feature.

Emma Roberts isn’t staying quiet about being disturbed by the docuseries “Quiet on Set.”
Roberts, who is also a Nickelodeon alum, told Variety on the “Just for Variety” podcast that the ID series “really kept me up at night.” Roberts starred in kids show “Unfabulous” for three seasons; the series concluded in 2007. While Roberts noted that she could not relate to the testimonials captured in “Quiet on Set,” she empathizes with fellow former kid stars.
“I watched [‘Quiet on Set’], and I was completely horrified and shocked because that was not my experience,” Roberts said. “It made me really, really, really sad that that was happening to people that I literally saw often and had no idea.”
The docuseries investigated the years of complaints against Nickelodeon executive Dan Schneider, who worked at the network from 1994 to 2018 before being fired amid harassment allegations.

Emma Roberts knows that her new Prime Video movie, “Space Cadet,” is an any easy target for critics and cynics.
“It’s earnest,” she says on this week’s “Just for Variety” podcast. “And people are probably going to make fun of that, but it’s like, you know what, whatever. I think that it’s better to be earnest and do your best and be proud of what you do, no matter the reception.”
Roberts stars in the film, written and directed by “Purple Hearts” writer Liz W. Garcia, as Rex, a bartender who decides to pursue her childhood dream of becoming an astronaut. When she is accepted into NASA’s highly competitive astronaut-training program, things go sideways after learning that her best friend (“Hacks” actor Poppy Liu) had embellished her application.

The McU isn’t planning on slowing down with the character introductions any time soon, as the already crowded cinematic universe is now exploring bringing Spider-Woman into the mix. And according to our sources, the studio already have an actress in mind to take over the role.
We’re being told that American Horror Story star Emma Roberts is being eyed to play the superhero on the big screen. There’s even a chance she might debut in Spider-Man 3, though nothing is certain as of yet and from what we understand, she’s just one name on Marvel’s wishlist at the moment. And given that this intel comes to us from the same sources who said the studio is eyeing Daniel Radcliffe for Moon Knight and Tom Holland is in talks for a Venom 2 cameo, both of which we now know to be true, we’ve no reason to doubt it.

Before there was Madison Montgomery or Chanel Oberlin or Jill Roberts (where my Scream 4 stans at?!) or whoever the hell she's playing in the forthcoming American Horror Story: 1984, there was Addie Singer. As the central character in Nickelodeon's Unfabulous, the network's quasi-answer to rival Disney Channel's Lizzie McGuire, Addie was, as the title of the tween comedy might suggest, an average middle schooler who liked to write songs about about her life. The character, whom audiences first met 15 years ago on September 12, 2004, was also the role that would introduce Emma Roberts, a plucky young actress with a familiar last name and an insanely famous aunt, to the world. Though his breakthrough series’ “Nip/Tuck” and “Glee” have long since left the airwaves, Ryan Murphy still reigns over much of television with “American Horror Story,” “American Crime Story,” which just finished its premiere season about the O.J. Simpson trial, and the satirical horror series “Scream Queens,” about a college campus threatened by a serial killer who targets the members of the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority. The series stars Emma Roberts as Chanel Oberlin, the narcisstic leader of the sorority, as well as Jamie Lee Curtis as Dean Cathy Munsch. Check out the punny new trailer for the series’ second season, featuring new faces like John Stamos (“Full House”) and Taylor Lautner (“Twilight”) walking jauntily with Curtis before coming upon the snarky Roberts and her cohorts Abigail Breslin and Billie Lourd.

Fox is betting big on Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk this fall with the American Horror Story creators’ campy horror-comedy Scream Queens, and now that the first full trailer for the anthology series has been released, it’s easy to see why – seemingly every teen idol this side of Disney pops up in the preview.
Emma Roberts (Unfabulous), The Nine Lives of Chloe King‘s Skyler Samuels, Glee‘s Lea Michele and Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP) are seemingly taking on the biggest roles in a cast that also boasts Abigail Breslin, Nasim Pedrad, Oliver Hudson, Billie Lourd, Diego Boneta, Glen Powell, Lucien Laviscount, Niecy Nash, Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande. Oh – and original Scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis is on hand to provide the series’ real horror credentials (unless you want to count Breslin’s Zombieland and Haunter, which is entirely valid).

The Killing‘s Billy Campbell has been cast in Fox’s dystopian drama pilot Delirium, TVLine has learned.
Campbell will play Thomas Fineman in the project, which is set in a world where love is deemed illegal and is able to be eradicated with a special procedure.

Clearly this doesn't go well, since they end up in jail, but they're then bailed out by a rapping drug dealer (played by James Franco) on condition that they assassinate his main competitor.Benson's casting ought to have rounded out the girlie quartet, but sadly Emma Roberts (Unfabulous) has recently dropped out, possibly because her agent showed her Trash Humpers.

"It's a different character than I have ever played before. It's a different kind of vibe I think than people are used to seeing in me," she said. "What you're going to see is more raw,...
