Emma Roberts weighed in on the allegations raised by the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries.

The Investigation Discovery series featured former Nickelodeon stars retelling their experiences on the set of shows produced for the cable network under Dan Schneider’s leadership.

Roberts starred in Unfabulous, a sitcom created by Sue Rose, which ran for three seasons on Nickelodeon.

“It’s inexcusable,” she said in an interview with Flaunt about the sexual harassment allegations. “Kids need to be protected, adults need to be protected.”

The experience that Roberts had at Nickelodeon was different with her mother on the set with her.

“I have been lucky with the family I have and the people that I’ve worked with,” she added. “I try to keep doing my job and keep my head down.”

Emma Roberts is continuing her campaign to change the narrative around “nepo babies” in Hollywood.

The American Horror Story star recently claimed she’s “never gotten a job” because of her famous father Eric Roberts or even her aunt Julia Roberts, but has “lost a couple” of roles because of them.

“I’ve lost more jobs than I’ve gained from being in the business,” Emma Roberts told Flaunt. “People have opinions and sometimes maybe they’re not good opinions of people in your family. I’ve never gotten a job because of it, I know I definitely have lost a couple of jobs because of it.”

After her breakout leading role on the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous (2004-2007), Emma and her aunt Julia both appeared in Garry Marshall‘s 2010 ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day.

But somehow, the Madame Web actress avoided being mentioned in New York Magazine‘s 2022 “Nepo Baby” feature.

Emma Roberts isn’t staying quiet about being disturbed by the docuseries “Quiet on Set.”

Roberts, who is also a Nickelodeon alum, told Variety on the “Just for Variety” podcast that the ID series “really kept me up at night.” Roberts starred in kids show “Unfabulous” for three seasons; the series concluded in 2007. While Roberts noted that she could not relate to the testimonials captured in “Quiet on Set,” she empathizes with fellow former kid stars.

“I watched [‘Quiet on Set’], and I was completely horrified and shocked because that was not my experience,” Roberts said. “It made me really, really, really sad that that was happening to people that I literally saw often and had no idea.”

The docuseries investigated the years of complaints against Nickelodeon executive Dan Schneider, who worked at the network from 1994 to 2018 before being fired amid harassment allegations.

Emma Roberts and her Belletrist TV banner have signed a first-look TV deal with Hulu.

The deal will focus on literary adaptations, as Belletrist was originally founded by Roberts and Karah Preiss as a book club. Preiss will serve as an executive producer on all projects developed under the deal, while Belletrist’s director of development, Matt Matruski, will serve as producer as part of his employment with the company.

The first project to be developed will be “Tell Me Lies,” based on the book by Carola Lovering. Following the release of her directorial debut film Always Be My Maybe, Nahnatchka Khan has inked a multi-year first-look feature deal at Netflix. The Ali Wong and Randall Park starring rom-com premiered on the streamer in May and, according to Netflix, was seen 32 million households in its first four weeks.

This news comes after Khan had signed an eight-figure four-year overall producing deal with Universal Television, where she will create, develop, write, supervise and produce series projects.

Exclusive: We’re The Millers and American Horror Story star Emma Roberts is joining the voice cast of Stx family animation UglyDolls.

Roberts will play character Wedgehead and joins previously announced cast including Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, Janelle Monáe, Nick Jonas, Wanda Sykes, Gabriel Iglesias and Pitbull.

Based on the toy brand, the film will be set in Uglyville and follow the free-spirited Moxy (Clarkson) and her friends as they confront what it means to be different. Clarkson, Shelton, Jonas, Pitbull and Monáe are among those due to provide songs. Robert Rodriguez is producing with Kelly Asbury (Gnomeo & Juliet) on board to direct.

STXfilms is due to release the pic in theaters on May 10, 2019 with the ambition of kick-starting a franchise. An animated kids series is under way with an order from Hulu, and Hasbro joined early on as master toy licensee. The film’s soundtrack will be released by Atlantic Records.

Emma Roberts has joined the cast of "American Horror Story: Coven." According to TVLine, the "Unfabulous" star will play a "self-involved party girl" named Madison.

Roberts, who recently filmed a Fox pilot titled "Dellirium," is currently dating "American Horror Story" star Evan Peters. Peters will return for "Coven" alongside familiar "Ahs" faces Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Taissa Farmiga.

Along with Roberts, new cast members for "Coven" include Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone and Gabourey Sidibe.

Though we don't know much about "American Horror Story: Coven," we do know it'll be witch centric, as the title indicates, and parts of the season will be set in New Orleans.

"It's a really cool story that we've been talking about for a couple of years, and this seemed like the year to do it," co-creator Ryan Murphy said on panel about "American Horror Story."

The Killing‘s Billy Campbell has been cast in Fox’s dystopian drama pilot Delirium, TVLine has learned.

Campbell will play Thomas Fineman in the project, which is set in a world where love is deemed illegal and is able to be eradicated with a special procedure.

Thomas is a wealthy lobbyist who supports the use of the procedure, which leads to a peaceful society free of the ups and downs of romantic entanglement. Despite his good looks and perfect image, though, Campbell’s character can be reduced to unbridled rage during times of trouble.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress, who got her big break on Nickelodeon's "Unfabulous," will star in Fox's new drama pilot. Roberts will play Lena Holoway in Karyn Usher's adaptation of "Delirium," based on Lauren Oliver's best-selling trilogy of the same name.

Following the casting of High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens and Wizards Of Waverly Place's Selena Gomez, Korine has now cast Ashley Benson, best known for the teen mystery series Pretty Little Liars, as the latest of his Spring Breakers.The film is the Korine version of a road movie, whatever that may turn out to mean. It's about four girls who opt to fund their spring break holiday by robbing a fast food restaurant. Clearly this doesn't go well, since they end up in jail, but they're then bailed out by a rapping drug dealer (played by James Franco) on condition that they assassinate his main competitor.Benson's casting ought to have rounded out the girlie quartet, but sadly Emma Roberts (Unfabulous) has recently dropped out, possibly because her agent showed her Trash Humpers.
