- TriviaWith the aim of targeting the larger and more profitable English-speaking audiences, the voices for The 3 Wise Men were originally recorded in English - twice, in fact, after a change in direction led to a major rewrite of the script - and only after animation was it dubbed into Spanish for the theatrical release in Spain. Both original recordings in English for the European market were directed by Stephen Hughes. For the Disney/Walmart release in the USA, however, much of the film was revoiced in California under the direction of Bob Buchholz with more American accents and some better-known actors.
- Alternate versionsThe original version of The 3 Wise Men was in English and recorded at Telson studios in Madrid, Spain, under voice director Stephen Hughes, who also adapted the Spanish script into English and played the part of Belial. After animation it was dubbed into Spanish. This original English soundtrack was included in the limited 2004 video release in Spain.

Featured review
I watched this movie together with my children, because I like to watch a biblical story. My children are able to apprehend some new stories from the bible. Well, 95% of this movie has nothing to do with any biblical story. Instead it's a bad made cartoon about magic, the all seeing eye and the pyramid. The message is: the power you need is in you.
But to say something positive, they are spelling the names of the biblical kings as well as the gifts of the kings correctly and they are on a journey to bring gifts to the king of kings, Jesus. To proof that the power you need is all in you, they also refer two times to the story of David and Goliath.
Thumbs down!
