Featured review
This was an interesting speculative TV series much ahead of its time, like the cult series "Prisoner", but this one was too brief to catch any major interest and attention. The chief player Michael Bryant however was a very intelligent and interesting actor, he specialized in advanced intelligence roles, and the script to this series was very well written, both as a warning of secret societies and an investigation into the phenomenon of how they work. This one has an impeccable surface and seems ideal, it's like an embryo to a new "ideal" world order, it claims and appears to be entirely scientific, and it has very attractive sides to it - Michael Bryant almost gets convinced of its supreme merits but finally makes a halt at the crucial insight of its lack of humanity. It's a perfect organization in every way but ignores and forgets the human factor, and that makes him denounce it - in spite of its supreme idealism and workability, it's no good since it is not human.
I saw the whole series in 1967 and could never forget it, always hoping for an opportunity to see it again. Now the chances have increased with internet, YouTube and other web sites for old TV series.
