There aren’t any new original Star Wars series coming to the streaming world until The Bad Batch premieres on May 4. It’s spiritual successor arrives in April, however. Star Wars: Clone Wars Volumes 1 and 2 both premiere on April 2. These are the animated classics from Genndy Tartakovsky that jumpstarted a new era of Star Wars storytelling. Amidst the chorus of people saying that TV is better than it’s ever been, you’ll always find one person lamenting the decline of the theme song. While it’s true that the days of minutes-long intros with original songs and catchy melodies might be in the past, there’s no denying that shows are still finding memorable (and in a few cases, iconic) ways to open each episode.

And they leave no stone — or western convention — unturned....

Jennifer Stone ("Wizards of Waverly Place") will star in the horror-thriller Nothing to Fear. She'll play an edgy and impetuous teen whose family moves to a small town for a better life, which doesn't wind up happening due to a emotionally twitchy priest (Clancy Brown - the voice of Mr. Krabs in "Spongebob Squarepants.") James Tupper (Mr. Popper's Penguins, "Revenge") and Anne Heche ("Higglytown Heroes") play the girl's parents; in real life, they are a couple and parents of to a 3-year old. Ethan Peck ("10 Things I Hate About You") and Rebekah Brandes (Bellflower) also star. Storyboard artist Anthony Leonardi III will make his feature directorial debut. Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash is producing through his Slasher films; I guess with a name like Slash, you've got to make horror films. Anchor Bay Films is distributing the indie.
