No one enjoyed Hillary Clinton’s Benghazi hearing quite like Fox News Channel. We mean strictly from a TV ratings perspective, of course. Fnc topped CNN and MSNBC combined in both the key 25-54 demographic and total viewers across total day Thursday. The hearing itself began at 10 a.m. Et. Fox pulled out of it around 5 p.m., while MSNBC and CNN continued their coverage. The Roger Ailes-run cable news channel also dominated primetime, when analysis was all the rage. Former Best Week Ever star Amanda Seales made waves this week when a video of her giving the business about catcalling on CNN went viral. The video has gained traction largely in part to Amanda’s witty come-backs and mystified faces of disgust towards her misogynistic male counterpart on the show.
This comedian should win an award for remaining so cool and collected during the segment, especially when her male counterpart suggests she “buy a gun” if she wants to be safe against street harassers. Our hats off to Amanda for keeping it real and putting him in his place! Yas girl!

After seven years of rolling around in the muck, Dirty Jobs‘ Mike Rowe is cleaning up his act.
His new gig, CNN’s Somebody’s Gotta Do It, is decidedly less messy than his popular Discovery Channel series, which was cancelled in 2012. But the spirit is the same: The first episode — which airs Wednesday at 9/8c — manages to squeeze Rowe into a wetsuit and dangle him 30 feet from a Vegas theater’s ceiling to illustrate a former stagehand’s passion for production.

VH1′s Dating Naked premiere ratings are here. And while the show isn’t a total bust, the debut numbers fall short of the hype.
The premiere episode of headline-making reality series had a modest 826,000 viewers. By comparison, most of the network’s original series averaged at least a million viewers, with the top six all averaging more than 2 million (the network’s most-watched series this year, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, averaged 3.5 million viewers, while the network’s least-watched, the short-live revival of Best Week Ever, averaged 226,000 viewers).
VH1 points out this performance is better than the show’s time period average.

What beats a CNN interview in terms of scoring publicity for your new book? How about a moment of raging indignation followed by a dramatic early exit from a CNN interview?
That seemed to be the prevailing wisdom today when a cantankerous Joan Rivers lost her patience with flighty interviewer Fredricka Whitfield’s line of questioning about whether the 81-year-old comic’s brand of humor ever crosses a line into cruelty.
“You really think Nicki Minaj cares I didn’t like her dress?” Rivers huffed when Whitfield noted that her guest’s work on E!’s Fashion Police is “very mean in some ways.

In a surprising development for streaming video, Amazon Prime has obtained the rights to HBO shows. Don’t cancel your cable subscription just yet, the deal only covers older HBO shows, plus Girls and Veep episodes that are more than three years old. Still, the news is a pretty big deal. Netflix has long had older episodes of Showtime’s series (and now Hulu has a few shows), but HBO has resisted letting its shows appear anywhere but HBO Go. Game of Thrones and True Detective as well as Sex and the City (which airs in syndication) aren’t included.
Recently, CBS renewed The Big Bang Theory for three seasons, which would take it to season ten. Showrunner Steve Molaro tells The Hollywood Reporter that, for now at least, he’s approaching that tenth season as the final one, which would give the show a Friends-sized run.

VH1 has decided to cancel their weekly recap series -- Best Week Ever -- for a second time.
The show debuted in 2002 and ran until it was cancelled in 2009. Then, in August 2012, the cable channel announced that Best Week Ever would be returning. The revived version started airing January 18th of 2013.
"Best Week Ever was a pioneer in pop culture commentary on television when it launched in 2004, delivering its signature blend of comedy and tongue-in-cheek opinions on the most entertaining news and pop culture stories of the previous seven days. The series also served as a national launching pad for many talented creatives and comedians. We thank them, and the viewers who tuned in each week," VH1 said in a statement.
