Not the real story

This movie is produced by a branch of Ministry Of Defence of Bulgaria. Which is strange given the outcome of the script and the movie. Usually the producer in this case will want to show himself (e.g. the Ministry) in good light. The movie does the opposite.

Instead of showing the real truth the picture follows the scandals, shows the exotics, false news and very negative biased opinions.

The movie is shot in autumn of 1992 - at the fist rotation, which is structured mostly by reservists instead of proper army staff (500 from 800). They were mostly undisciplined, civilian folks on a temporary peacekeeping job.

In January 1993 a rotation was made, this time with proper military staff. The things went from bad to good, and the Battalion successfully completed it mission in Cambodia.

As such, the movie shows half of the half of the half of the history of the battalion, and does it in very negative way.

A total of 11 bulgarian solders died for the peace and prosperity of modern Cambodia.
