The Story of Welsh

This is a fascinating portrayal of the history of the Welsh language, and the fight of the Cymry (Welsh people) to save it over the centuries (no exaggeration!). This is a well-documented presentation. The interviews are great, the footage is excellent, and the narration is interesting. It makes me want to go visit the archives and see the ancient writing of Dafydd ap Gwilym for myself. It inspires me to be a better student with my own Welsh language studies. I highly recommend "The Story of Welsh" to anyone interested in history, linguistics, and/or Welsh and Celtic studies. I'm going to get a copy to show to my classes. I suggest you take notes as you watch it.
