Anees Bazmee was to direct the film.
Priyanka Chopra was signed for the lead role but opted out.
This was Govinda's last movie before joining politics and took a 3 year break. Although he had further releases - Khullam Khulla Pyar Karen, Ssukh and Sandwich, they were completed before releasing.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia, Canada.
