This movie is based on a true incident, which resulted in all Nevada casinos being required by law to post the telephone number for GA (that is, Gamblers Anonymous), should any of their patrons need it.
Based on the story of Gina Garcia, who was executive director of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation from 1993 to 1997. She later lectured on the dangers of gambling.
