    This is one great movie

Kellie Martin was fantastic in this movie. She is a very earnest and appealing actor. The supporting cast was excellent. It was wonderful; I am looking forward to more. Kellie Martin proves that books can teach us all kinds of things. I also liked seeing her photographs in this movie.

Why aren't there more listings for this series Mystery Woman on your site

This episode is Mystery Weekend. Samantha is having a weekend with mystery writers coming to her bookshop. A young lawyer acts suspicious comes in asks questions and comes to the Mystery Weekend. He is also kind of flirty. The Mystery Weekend is sponsoring a few authors of mystery books.

It seems that the people at this gathering have something to hide. The guest book readers are kind of upper class. Drinks are served at this gathering and Samantha is taking pictures of all her guest. Her best friend Casey is also there.

Samantha also has a helper in the store who is very smart, connected to people he can get information from and good on the computer. His name is Philby played by Clarence Williams a great actor. Something bad happens at this event so you have to watch if you can find a place to watch.

Now I want to know why there are no more episode on this series. Hallmark Channel had them on for awhile. I have 9 episodes and there are more. Wikipedia list Mystery Woman with 11 episodes from 2003 and 2007.

So IMDB where are the rest of them on your site?

    I'M A FAN...REALLY !!!

I was surprised and pleased to see the 'quality' look and feel of MYSTERY WOMAN. It was no low-budget cable experiment, it was polished. Kellie's a natural, and looked great. Robert Wagner's name in the tv listing and face on the TV screen was a BIG plus. (If it becomes a series, perhaps a celebrity 'victim' each week?) Mystery Woman was definitely left 'open' for further adventures.

To be honest, the story could have been a bit 'tighter'. The mysteries and their solutions should be able to be held up to scientifically accurate scrutiny. For the production monies spent, the 'little' discrepancies should not be there (and there were more than a few). STANDARD OPERATING PROCECDURES for cops, coroners, victims, and family members are not strictly enforced. But, the result is a 'not' overly-complicated story, perfect for an 8pm Sunday-night, network slot.

Now that the main character Samantha Kinsey is established, I would like to see storylines that stick more to 'mystery' and not dwell on her ex-husband, love life, or other personal aspects just to fill out the show to it's 'run time'.

One more thing... I'm sure Kellie is a wonderful photographer in real life and it was a great idea to make her character's profession something that she loves so much. It even gives her an 'excuse' to travel to the locales of 'other' mysteries, but... BUT... please stop mentioning 'PHOTOGRAPHER' (or variations) every 5 minutes !!! It's distracting.

As a fan, I'd be happy to watch Kellie Martin read the phone book. As a critic, I'd have to say (even after my criticisms) that MYSTERY WOMAN is a great 'vehicle' for Kellie, and that I was very entertained and would love to see more installments. GOOD JOB !!!

    GREAT MYSTERY!

This TV film should be made into a regular series like "Murder She Wrote". It kept me spellbound, never knowing who the killer really was, with hidden doors and passageways. Robert Wagner played a role like Janet Leigh in "Psycho" and made you wonder how the killer could have entered or left a bolted door. Try to catch it the next time it is shown on TV, lots of romance and mystery!!!

    Mystery woman

Recently divorced from art gallery owner Elliot McCallister, Samantha Kinsey inherits her Uncle Bobs' crime mystery-specialized bookshop. Jack Stenning (Robert Wagner) is Samantha's former literature professor and is working on a new true crime book. His adopted daughter Tracy tells Samantha that she worries her father's pursuit of his latest story may turn out to be dangerous. At a party in his home, Jack is murdered by a surprise guest who stages Jack's death to look like a suicide. Jack's estranged son Tom (Troy Bishop) and his boss Lieutenant Robert Hawke (William R. Moses) investigate but rule it a suicide. Although general heir and claiming she loved Jack despite serial adultery, his widow Mary (Joan Severance) asks Samantha and her friend Cassie to investigate it as a murder. Shortly after, Sam is the target of a break-in and sabotage convincing her that there is more to the mystery. She and her uncle's mysterious friend, Ian Philby (Freeman), discover that Jack's new book was connected to the disappearance of heiress Rebecca Carlson 10 years ago and his own murder may be linked to Carlson's murder.

Started out well, however gradually gets a bit tedious and drags on. Lacks a bit of a light touch. The direction is flat, but it's well acted, has Robert Wagner in it and has a good twist. I would still check out the other episodes as they might be a improvement.

In the pilot a reporter gets kicked out. However, he sneaks back in through an unlocked window. Interesting since there is a lot of security at the party.
