Paltrow Shares Emmy Experience In Blog Journal
Gwyneth Paltrow has documented her 2011 Emmy Awards experience in a new photo "scrapbook" for her Goop.com blog.
The actress describes her delight at winning a Creative Arts Emmy for her guest role as substitute teacher Holly Holiday on Glee, admitting her late father Bruce Paltrow would have been thrilled by her success.
She writes, "This was especially meaningful, as my father (who made great TV shows back in the day - The White Shadow, St. Elsewhere) had been nominated and lost the Emmys nine times. So I'm pretty chuffed about the whole thing. And my dad would have been over the moon."
Paltrow then details her trip to the Primetime Emmys in Los Angeles on Sunday, and gives away her personal hairstylist and make-up artists' top tips for recreating her red-carpet look.
The Shakespeare in Love star also admits there were a few behind-the-scenes mishaps at the glitzy ceremony - she was forced to ad-lib while presenting an award onstage after the teleprompter malfunctioned, and her second-row seat was also left soaking by an overheated guest. She explains, "The seat filler before me was sweaty... so my chair was wet. Gross!"...
