Not long enough to be annoying

One of the problems with the disappearance of the short subject is that everything has to be a feature -- even if it doesn't warrant it.

Fortunately, some people still make short films, even if they are usually student works, and occasionally one shows up that is worthwhile. This one, based on a short story, is one that needs to be made as a short story or not at all.

Doubtless we will see the two-hour feature version of this with high-tech special effects and lots of fake blood scattered about in a few years. In the meantime, let us enjoy this decent short.
