Those truck drivers sure were rascals alright.
This is the first film in a series I can see myself sticking with. This first Truck Rascals movie is real anarchic and all over the place tonally, but in a way that's somewhat charming. It starts sleazy, delivers a couple of crazy action scenes, made me laugh a few times, and then revealed itself to have a surprising amount of heart in the final act- maybe not quite to the point of being sentimental, but it took me off guard a little.
Balance is not the word of the day here, and I do feel like this movie's messy. But that messiness was something I found more entertaining than I found it frustrating, so I came away from this one feeling pretty positive towards it overall.
