Passpartout frequently uses the phrase "Parlez vous!" to express surprise. This translates as "Do you speak..." which makes no sense in the context. A more proper phrase would have been "Sacre bleu!" or "Mon Dieu!" which literally means Holy God, or more colloquially "Oh my God!"
