It's hard to imagine this now, considering the stranglehold that superhero films and television series have had on Hollywood over the past decade and a half, but in the early 2000s, developing a show about a superhero -- even a top-tier one like Superman -- was not guaranteed to be a slam dunk. It's a testament to the charming, borderline addictive nature of "Smallville" that it not only existed on the fledgling CW network, but thrived there for 10 seasons from 2001 to 2011.
In telling the story of Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) teen and young adult years growing up in Smallville, the frothy superhero drama introduced audiences to a crop of upcoming actors who made their mark both on "Smallville" and beyond. While some are still acting to this day, others have taken interesting career -- and personal life -- turns over the years that may surprise fans of the show. Here's the main cast of "Smallville,...

Last month, James Gunn and Peter Safran announced three “younger-skewed” animated series: Starfire!, My Adventures with Green Lantern, and DC Superpowers, co-produced with Warner Bros. Animation.
For My Adventures with Green Lantern, it’s clear that the show won’t be part of the Dcu, as it takes place in the same universe as My Adventures with Superman. It follows Jessica Cruz, a teenager chosen to join the Green Lantern Corps, as she deals with the aftermath of an ancient war. The series is produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation, with My Adventures with Superman co-showrunner Jake Wyatt serving as executive producer.
The same applies to DC Superpowers. The show follows a group of new students at the Alliance School for Heroes, including Lightning, The Flash, Plastic Man, Aquagirl, Green Lantern, and Terra. Under the guidance of their principal, Martian Manhunter, they train to develop their powers and...

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" premiered on Nickelodeon 20 years ago, with the two-part opener airing on February 21, 2005, and the third episode following just four days later on February 25. I was in the second grade at the time, and I learned about the show on the playground. Instead of pantomiming lightsaber battles or whatever passed for football in the second grade, my two best friends told me that they wanted to play "Avatar: The Last Airbender." I didn't watch Nickelodeon, being more of a Saturday morning 4Kids loyalist myself, but you can't admit something like that at recess, so I played along and tried to pick up the "rules" of hurling pretend wind and fire at each other.
That summer, I caught a rerun of "Avatar" Season 1, Episode 6, "Imprisoned," while flipping channels on vacation. By the time the show came back from its mid-Season 1 break in September, I was already hooked, having...

The other day, James Gunn and Peter Safran — the two guys in charge of charting a new course for the DC Cinematic Universe — talked to reporters about their plans, and boy do they have them. Let's run down some of the things they said:
This new Dcu will officially launch with Superman, which will hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Gunn and Safran are cutting together a new trailer now as well as holding test screenings. They are psyched. “I’ve wanted to make a Superman movie since 1978 and the Superman film that James has made is exactly the one that teenage Peter Safran has been waiting for,” Safran said. After that, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will release on June 26, 2026. The movie will star House of the Dragon veteran Milly Alcock (Young Rhaenyra Targaryen) in the title role. "We’ve always viewed this transformative story as one of the cornerstones of our...

DC Studios Rejig Release Slate As James Gunn Gives Updates On Batman, Teen Titans, Clayface And More
Time flies when you're having fun — and when you're trying to build a cinematic universe, too. Somehow, it's already been two years since DC Studios head honchos James Gunn and Peter Safran revealed the roadmap for their newly christened Dcu, announcing a wildly ambitious "Gods And Monsters" first phase comprising 10 projects. Now, as the first major movie from that slate, Gunn's own Superman, gets ready to take flight this July, Gunn and Safran have taken some time to give fans an update on their ever-evolving future plans — including Batman: The Brave And The Bold, a proposed live-action Teen Titans movie, Clayface, and much more besides.
At a gathering of the press last Friday, Gunn and Safran held court to talk films and TV shows that are in production, that need more time, and that are in the early stages of development. On the in production front, as of right...

James Gunn is cooking up something big. And no, it’s not just another Guardians of the Galaxy mixtape, it’s an entirely new DC Universe, and this time, he’s bringing in the Teen Titans. If you thought The Suicide Squad was chaotic, wait until you see what happens when you throw a group of superpowered, angsty teenagers into the mix.
With Ana Nogueira penning the script, it’s safe to say we’re in for something fresh. The Teen Titans have always been a fan-favorite team, blending action, heart, and the kind of interpersonal drama that would make even reality TV producers take notes. But now that the movie is officially in development, it’s time to ask the big question, who’s playing who?

There has been a lot of news from DC Studios in the past several days. Some of it has been great, some of it has been less than great, and some of it is somewhere in the No Man’s Land of interpretation and opinion that lies between the two. Some of it is a bit concerning when it comes to how this universe is coming together. Ideally, this universe will mimic what happens in the comics with standalone stories, crossovers, and huge Crisis style events. We don’t want a carbon copy of the MCU, but they are both based in comic books.
Let’s quickly go over some of the news recently broken.
Matt Reeves still hasn’t finished the script for The Batman which isn’t entirely surprising considering the huge delay. Gunn said it’s “not the plan” to have Pattinson become the Dcu’s Dark Knight,...

More than two years after revealing their initial plans for the TV series that will help populate their new DC Universe, DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran met with the press to offer some candid updates on what’s still moving forward, what has been slowed by a “bumpy road,” and what is brand-new to the mix.

It’s been just over two years since James Gunn and Peter Safran mapped out their initial slate of projects for DC Studios and what would be the newly revamped Dcu, a new interconnected universe of superhero movies and films based on DC characters and kicking off in earnest with Gunn’s “Superman” arriving this summer.
So where do they stand? In a press event last week on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, Gunn and Safran held court with journalists about all they had cooking, the stuff that’s moving forward and the stuff that has lost the wind in its sails or has hit a snag. That included everything from details on the studio’s Batman films — both the Dcu film “The Brave and the Bold” and updates on the non-canon “The Batman 2” from Matt Reeves — as well as a potential “Teen Titans” movie and the update...

At the end of January 2023, DC Studios gathered select members of the press and announced plans for a Dcu slate dubbed "Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters." Many fans pointed out the similarities to Warner Bros.'s ill-fated 11-movie Dceu slate reveal in 2014 and, unfortunately, some of these Dcu projects aren't moving along as well as hoped.
Talking to press, co-ceo Peter Safran said of The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker spin-off Waller, "We’ve taken a couple of cracks at it but still haven’t been able land. Waller has been a bumpy road."
The Authority, meanwhile, is "not the furthest along" according to James Gunn and, subsequently, "hasn't been made much [of] a priority." Safran explained, "It is a very big movie, if you’re going to do it properly. Some of the story elements perhaps that are in Superman and some of the other films we fast-tracked, step a little on the Authority.

According to DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran, the age of Gods and Monsters will soon be upon us. Like Marvel Studios’s “phases,” Gods and Monsters provides a roadmap for DC’s film and television initiative. Gunn and Safran shared an outline of their plan in January 2023, though, as we know, everything in Hollywood is subject to change, especially when the project is as vast as Gods and Monsters. According to the duo, they plan to release two live-action films and one animated film annually. In contrast, Max, the HBO-adjacent streaming service, wants two live-action and two animated series annually. However, 2025 is an exception, with Peacemaker Season 2 being the only live-action release this year.
“We’ve unified the brand, greenlit five theatrical films, made three live action-series and producing five animated series. We’ve also acquired and distributed a BAFTA and PGA winning documentary,” Safran said at a press conference on Friday.

“Whoa, déjà vu,” exclaimed DC Studios co-chief Peter Safran as he stepped inside a modest screening room on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank. In January 2023, Safran and his co-chief James Gunn presented the inaugural slate for the newly relaunched DC Universe to a small group of journalists in this same room. Just over two years later, on Feb. 21, the duo returned to deliver their first official update about the slate to (roughly) the same group.
“It’s weird sitting here, because it does feel like no time has passed and yet so much has happened,” Gunn said.
“We look so much older,” Safran said. “That’s the biggest difference.”
“Yeah,” Gunn said. “You really do.”
A lot has happened with DC in just two years. Gunn is deep in post-production on “Superman,” the first DC Studios movie, which he wrote and directed, while simultaneously working on post on...

In September, the trades revealed that DC Studios had tapped Captain America: Brave New World writer Matthew Orton to pen a Deathstroke/Bane team-up movie.
Many have wondered whether it's secretly a Secret Six project, though James Gunn has confirmed on multiple occasions that he has plans for DC's Terminator in the Dcu. What we don't know is who will play the fan-favourite villain, though Gunn likely has big plans for the character.
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, "[DC Studios] already have someone in mind to play Deathstroke in the Dcu so casting should be not too far [away]."
This is a positive update and one that suggests we'll soon see another major character added to the Dcu. How Gunn casts Slade Wilson will be very interesting, particularly as the character has frequently been portrayed as different ages on the page.

One of the interesting and relatively unknown characters set to make his big screen debut in James Gunn's Superman is "Mister Terrific." He first graced DC's pages in 1997's Spectre #54 (written by John Ostrander and illustrated by Tom Mandrake). On-screen, he will be played by Edi Gathegi and is supposed to be "the main character of those [other] characters [in the movie]."
Previously, he appeared live on the CW's Arrow (Echo Kellum) and had a few stints in animated projects, one was voiced by the Cosby-outing comedian Hannibal Burress.
For Black History Month, it's important to celebrate Bipoc heroes and villains because the writers and artists didn't hold back when it came to creating diversity among the legion of characters. They have been given amazing powers--some cosmic, others mutant, and a few elite humans. Mister Terrific is the third smartest character in all DC lore, next to Lex Luthor and the Atom, Ray Palmer.

James Gunn has been slow on updates for his Batman project in the Dcu. This is understandable, given that the focus is currently on the first of the Dcu off the ground: Superman. However, DC has probably put a gem in place for James Gunn to take advantage of, which might just get Brave and the Bold off the ground.

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when "Avatar: The Last Airbender" premiered in 2005. Since then, animation hasn't been the same. The Nickelodeon cartoon, as created by Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko, takes place in a fantasy world inspired by Asian culture and mythology. At the center of its story is Aang (Zach Tyler Eisen), the latest incarnation of the Avatar and, as such, the only living being capable of wielding all four elements and stopping the evil Fire Lord Ozai before he can conquer the world.
It didn't take long for "Avatar: The Last Airbender" to set itself apart from other action-heavy animated shows in its day on its way to becoming one of the best and most unique American cartoons of all time. Alongside "Teen Titans," "Avatar" helped popularize anime-inspired cartoons in the West and started discussions among...

Over the last few years, the state of comic book films and shows has grown increasingly uncertain with the phrase “superhero fatigue” getting thrown around following the surprise underperformance of major Marvel films. But Robert Kirkman, co-creator, co-showrunner and executive producer of “Invincible” — the violent animated show ready to unveil Season 3 — remains confident in the genre.
“I don’t think superhero fatigue is a real thing, but I do think that the genre of superhero storytelling has become so ubiquitous that it’s gotten to a point where it’s not fresh and it’s not new,” Kirkman told Variety Monday night at the Los Angeles premiere of “Invincible” Season 3. “You can’t just be a superhero show and not have anything special about you anymore because I think the novelty has worn off. Last March, we learned that playwright turned feature scribe Ana Nogueira had been tapped to pen a Teen Titans screenplay after impressing DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran with her work on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
There have been conflicting reports about which characters will make up the superhero team in the Dcu, with the latest reports claiming it will be Teen Titans Go! leads Robin, Raven, Starfire, Cyborg and Beast Boy.
With The Brave and the Bold set to revolve around Batman training Damian Wayne, the likelihood of Teen Titans' Robin being Dick Grayson is low. That will upset many fans but, at this point in the Dcu's timeline, Dick is almost certainly Nightwing.
According to a new rumour, the plan is indeed for Damian to serve as Robin in this team-up. There's precedent for that in the comics and he's bound to have an interesting dynamic...

James Gunn has commented on his next DC Universe project. As the creative chief of DC Studios, Gunn has a role to play in every new project the comic book giant envisions for the big and small screens. However, he has gone beyond that, as the Dcu's Chapter One begins with three projects created by Gunn. He wrote and directed the TV-ma animated series Creature Commandos, the Dcu's first overall project, David Corenswet's Superman, the franchise's first movie, which premieres in July, and Peacemaker season 2. Instead of slowing down, Gunn is already working on a new DC project.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice introduced a great number of DC Universe heroes to live-action, and the most ignored hero that would go on to feature in Justice League was given one of the most compelling introductions. While there is much to love about the Dceu, the franchise faced pressure to quickly introduce many of its characters, leading to a theatrical cut of Justice League that felt underdeveloped. This has led the new Dcu to prioritize even Teen Titans before another Justice League film. However, much of the Dceu worked, especially a few particular hero introductions.
Looking at ranking the heroes in the Dceu, many of the best characters came about early in the franchise. Following the success of Man of Steel, Warner Bros. rushed to put their Justice League cast together, introducing nearly all of them at least briefly in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. All of...

The Boys Season 5 Set Photos Confirm Major Plot Point; Reveal First Look At New Supe Team - Spoilers
In the season 4 finale of The Boys, Homelander took a major step towards taking full control of the United States by removing all political obstacles and rounding-up his enemies, including Mother's Milk, Frenchie, Kimiko, and Hughie (only Starlight and Butcher remain at large).
It was strongly hinted that Homelander's plan would involve interning those who opposed him in prison camps, and we now have confirmation that "Freedom Camps" will indeed be employed for this purpose.
These latest set photos reveal adverts for the camps on the sides of some buses, which also provide a first look at new Supe team, Teenage Kix.
This group is a parody of the likes of the Young Avengers and Teen Titans, and counts A-Train, Sister Sage and the late Popclaw among its former members. In the comics, the roster also includes Big Game, Jetstreak, Hyperion, Shout Out and Mesme.
Check out the photos at the link below.

Filmmaker James Gunn was one of the freshest voices to come out of the indie scene when he helmed the runaway MCU hit Guardians of the Galaxy. With his signature humor and unique vision for films, Gunn delivered blockbusters not just in the Marvel universe but also with The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker.
His work on the two films got him the job of co-chief of DC Studios with his producing partner Peter Safran. As the head of the Dcu, Gunn has been crafting the direction of the rebooted franchise, beginning with the Max animated show Creature Commandos, which he wrote, and the upcoming film Superman.

Creature Commandos is a Dcu project. Veteran director James Gunn fleshed out every detail and nitty-gritty bits of the show before it aired and so, the details are etched in stone. That’s bad news for Robert Pattinson’s Batman.

Or it could be good news for fans of Matt Reeves’ The Batman depending on how you view it. The gist of the discussion is that this crucial detail in Creature Commandos proves that Robert Pattinson’s Batman will not be joining James Gunn’s Dcu.
Robert Pattinson’s Batman is still too young
Not that there are any age requirements for being Batman but with experience, Batman evolves throughout the DC comics as well as in movies and shows too. With that being said, Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne in The Batman is not that old.

James Gunn is a genius. We know that it has been said many a time for the veteran director but Gunn finds a way of proving himself countless times over and over again.

This time, the director is getting recognition and acknowledgment for sliding in a joke aimed at a Marvel character in one of his DC projects. We can’t say for sure about the MCU but it seems that Ghost Rider may have joined the Dcu!

Andy Muschietti recently confirmed two things: The Brave and the Bold is not coming until after 2027 at least, and Robert Pattinson, at least for now, is not going to be Batman in the Dcu. While it’s disappointing that the Dcu will lack a Batman movie for at least the first three years of its existence, it’s at least good to know there is some kind of plan.
However, it would just be strange to build an interconnected DC movie universe and completely exclude Batman, easily DC’s most popular character and, arguably, the most popular comic book character of all time. Maybe, instead of giving the Dcu Batman his own movie to compete with The Batman Part II, Batman’s Dcu role could be to appear in other character’s movies before he gets his own similar to Hulk or Fury in the MCU.

Matt Reeves has come out with a new update about his version of the Batman mythos, where Robert Pattinson essays the role of the Dark Knight, joining James Gunn’s Dcu. It seems that there might be some negotiations in that regard still underway, despite Reeves having made it clear early on that his version of Batman will remain separate from the Dcu.

While there was a section of the fandom that was very taken by the idea that Robert Pattinson’s Batman was in the same universe as David Corenswet’s Superman, there are others that rightly believe that this would be a bad move for the character. Further, having Pattinson be the Batman of the Dcu might just open up a slew of problems for all that James Gunn has promised for the Dcu.

11 years later - and two years after the end of the Dceu - Henry Cavill is arguably more right than ever about the potential of the franchise's most wasted character. The Dceu timeline has some epic highs and lows, leading to the decision to reboot the DC movie empire into the DC Universe timeline following the final Dceu release of Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. With the franchise's movies managing some over $1 billion box office successes, and some critical failures as well, it's as clear that there was real promise in the Dceu as it's clear that the path forward for it got increasingly complicated.
Much of this can be attributed to the changing plans for the Dceu, which appear to have altered quite drastically and frequently from Zack Snyder's initial framework for the franchise, which included a trilogy of Justice League movies that audiences only eventually saw one of.

Last month, we found out that Max, the streaming service for many DC shows and movies, was going to make some changes. Four popular DC animated series were set to leave by the start of 2025. On January 1, if you were planning on watching some of your favorite animated shows, you were most likely met by disappointment.
The shows removed include ‘Teen Titans,’ ‘Teen Titans Go!,’ ‘Static Shock,’ and ‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series.’ To make it clear, it’s not only DC Shows that got removed from the streaming service many notable classics like ‘Ed, Edd n’ Eddy,’ ‘The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy’, ‘The Looney Tunes Show’ were also removed.
It’s unclear why the shows were removed in the first place but it’s mostly related to licensing rights and the show will be returned at some point in the future. However, if you’re planning on rewatching them right now,...

The main protagonists of anime rarely have living or present parental figures, like Eren Yeager’s father, Grisha, or Naruto’s father, Minato. It’s become a noticeable trend that these characters’ tragic stories stem from their parents, either by the loss, abuse, or neglect they faced.
Some of these protagonists go on to become parents themselves and because of the significant lack of parental figures don’t know how to be one. A prime example is Goku. He wasn’t raised by his parents and thus, became a rather absent one for Gohan and Goten.

Ben Schwartz, the voice of Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, is now setting his sights on a new role: playing Plastic Man in the DC Universe. During a recent Q&a, Schwartz expressed his excitement about the chance to bring the stretchy superhero to life under James Gunn’s direction.
When a fan on the social media platform X asked if he still had a shot at the role, Schwartz replied with enthusiasm. “It would be a dream come true,” he said. “But no matter who gets the role, I’ll be excited to see Plastic Man out there in a big, fun way. After Creature Commandos, one allegation was raised against DC co-ceo James Gunn. Some fans accused the filmmaker, sharing that he cannot write layered women characters in his films. However, it is an unfair allegation to make, considering the several great female characters brought to the screen by the filmmaker.

The Teen Titans have many beloved heroes in their ranks, but there's one hero who stands out as the team's most valuable asset. Some might assume that Starfire is the strongest Titan, and though she's certainly formidable in her own right, Raven is without question the greatest source of power in the roster. She isn't just an asset in terms of what she contributes in battle, either; Raven's abilities can help her teammates just as much as they can harm opponents.
Many of the Teen Titans got their start in DC lore as sidekicks of more prominent superheroes. For instance, Dick Grayson founded the team as Robin long before he became Nightwing, and Wally West joined as the Kid Flash to Barry Allen's Flash. Raven, however, stands out as a hero in her own right. The daughter of Trigon has incredible magic at her disposal that proves she's the best Titan around,...

Bill Skarsgard's dream of playing the Joker could lead to a revolutionary take on the Clown Prince of Crime in the Dcu, possibly as soon as The Brave and the Bold hits theaters. James Gunn's Dcu is gradually establishing Batman's lore, with the announcement of Clayface and Dynamic Duo, and characters such as Clayface, Dr. Phosphorus, and Batman himself appearing for the first time in Creature Commandos. Of course, the Dcu's Batman won't make his full on-screen live-action Dcu debut until The Brave and the Bold's release. Until then, more Batman-adjacent characters are expected to be introduced in upcoming Dcu movies and shows, including Waller and Teen Titans.
As of Batman's animated cameo in Creature Commandos episode 6, the Dcu's Batman hasn't been cast yet. Neither have been key Gotham characters like Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Damian Wayne, or the Joker. However, some actors have already put their names forward for these roles.

Cartoon Network fans are starting 2025 with disappointment as several beloved animated series have been removed from Max.

Despite being the biggest franchise in movie history, the MCU is not infallible and there are some resolutions that it will need to make in 2025 and beyond. The MCU timeline is in the middle of the Multiverse Saga and has stumbled quite a few times post-Avengers: Endgame. No matter what, though, the MCU has proven time and again that it can still produce a hit, with a handful of movies in the past few years being some of their biggest hits of all time.
There is a lot to like about the MCU’s release slate, with some of the biggest movies the franchise has ever made on the horizon. Still, the MCU will need to clean up a few things and nail a few others to really give this second Saga of theirs a chance to end on a high note. Here are ten resolutions the MCU must make in 2025 and beyond.

Warning: Spoilers for Titans (2023) #18 ahead!
Raven has long been a fan-favorite character across all iterations of the Titans, despite often undergoing significant changes from medium to medium. Now, however, fresh developments suggest that DC is ready to make some elements from the Teen Titans! (2003) animated series canon, bringing more cohesion to Raven's character across various platforms.
Tensions run high in Titans (2023) #18 - written by John Layman, with art by Pete Woods – as the Titans are forced out of their tower in Blüdhaven and must go underground. Raven, normally stoic and controlled, reacts especially poorly to the change, snapping at her teammates in a rage and later being overcome by fear and violence in a firefight.
Beast Boy explains that "[Raven]'s personality was split into different pieces for months on end during the whole Dark-Winged Queen stuff," a plot detail that echoes the plot of the popular Teen Titans! episode, "Nevermore.

When the Dceu finally came to a close last Christmas with James Wan's subaqueous sequel Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom, it seemed likely we had seen the last of Jason Momoa — aka Arthur Curry, aka the titular King of Atlantis — in the DC Universe. And yet, while Aquaman and the Dceu may be done and dusted, it appears that reports of Momoa's exit from DC's future plans have been greatly exaggerated. Per THR's reporting, Momoa is set to make a heel turn as alien bounty hunter Lobo in DC Studios' upcoming Milly Alcock starrer Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow. And former Game Of Thrones man Momoa took to Instagram to share the exciting news, as you can see below:

The DC Universe has a unique opportunity ahead of it. After a decade of DC films with mixed reception, the franchise is receiving a reboot with an all-new creative team, helmed by James Gunn and Peter Safran. The previous iteration, called the DC Extended Universe, kicked off with Zack Snyder's Man of Steel in 2013. While fan reception of the film was somewhat accepting, the darker, more realistic take on Superman it offered created a shaky foundation for the rest of the series.
Additionally, the Dceu jumped straight from a solo Superman film to the crossover Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which had the lofty job of introducing Batman and Wonder Woman as well as teasing the rest of the Justice League. That movie largely set the tone moving forward. Several months ago rumors surfaced that the live-action ‘Teen Titans’ movie was in development at DC Studios. Soon after the rumors started the news was officially confirmed as it was revealed that Ana Nogueira will be penning the screenplay.
Nogueira is an actress known for roles in ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ ‘The Michael J. Fox Show,’ and ‘Hightown.’ She’s also a successful writer, with her play ‘Which Way to the Stage’ debuting off-Broadway in 2022. In November 2023, it was announced she was writing a ‘Supergirl’ movie for DC.
Not much is known about the plot of the upcoming live-action movie, but fans have long been wondering about the potential lineup of the film.

When DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran announced the first chapter of the Dcu slate, "Gods and Monsters," several major DC Comics heroes - most notably Wonder Woman and The Flash - were conspicuous by their absence.
When it comes to the Scarlet Speedster, it's not exactly surprising that the studio would decide to hold off on revisiting the character for a while.
The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller only came out last year, and wasn't exactly well-received. Despite Gunn hyping the film up as "one of the best superhero movies" he's ever seen, it was not embraced by the majority of fans or general audiences, and only ended up grossing $271 million worldwide against a reported budget of $200–220 million.
The Fastest Man Alive will no doubt find his way into the Dcu eventually, but when asked on social media why we're getting a Clayface movie before a new...

Following an initial online rumor, we got confirmation that a live-action Teen Titans movie was in the works at DC Studios back in March with Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow writer Ana Nogueira enlisted to pen the script.
Updates have been few and far between since, but a recent Production Weekly logline did claim to reveal the key team members: "The Teen Titans are further apart than ever before… until Damian Wayne recruits Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and the new Kid Flash to join him in a fight against his own grandfather, Ra’s al Ghul."
However, we'd later hear that the movie will focus on a "pre-existing team being revived," which suggested that the roster would more likely consist of the original '60s comic book line-up: Kid Flash (Wally West), Robin (Dick Grayson), Aqualad (Garth) and Wonder Girl (Donna Troy).
Now, scooper Daniel Richtman is reporting that the movie's...
