A.E.R: Adult Entertainment Robot Volume 1

Cathy Barry and hubby Phil (who has a cameo as chief scientist) deliver this 2-volume science fiction video which is their usual brand of hardcore humping. I enjoyed its selection of a dozen actresses, of which Cathy teams effectively with Michelle Thorne in the first of four vignettes.

Format is quite repetitive in both volumes, anticipating the streaming and Internet porn revolution of today by having content that is designed to be viewed as separate segments. Sometimes one sequence looks and plays like a remake of the one just previous, only with different girls. An actual storyline, developing scene by scene, would have been preferable, but even more-so than in their horror pair "Cathula" of XXX vampire videos, the Barrys opt for wall-to-wall sex.

Volume 1 features only female robots, designated as Model 221 by Phil. There is minimal SPFX for a materializing function, so that the robots can miraculously appear in a customer's living room a la "Beam Me Down, Scotty" action in Star Trek. This gimmick is inconsistently used, as in some vignettes the model is laboriously boxed up in a crate and delivered by lorry.

As with most Barry Entertainment productions there are elements of orgy included, and sometimes the customers are women, making for lesbian action. These are unconventional robots, even beyond the recent Alicia Vikander model in "Ex Machina", so latex and other fetish outfits are used, plus the frequent emphasis on anal sex (Cathy contributes her trademark d.p. action by way of two dildos). Angel Long and Jane Whitehouse are prominent in the sex action, playing customers rather than robots. Like most Barry works, it was shot in Bristol.
