Being South African myself, I found this movie delightful! Since we seldom get the chance to see our own actors in movies that are close to home, I consider this one a real gem.
Steve Hofmeyer is truly scary with his bald head and black "bokkie" (South African for that little tuft of hair on the chin) - a far cry from his days as Bruce Beyers in "Agter Elke Man", an Afrikaans TV-series in the 80's.
Candice, the K-TV presenter from a few years back, also manages to hold her own.
The movie was really well-directed, especially considering the limited resources... riding high on suspense and in parts very realistic. Just a pity about the last 20min or so, which had a far-fetched feel to it.
All in all this movie scores a very viewable 7 out of 10 and just proves once again that local is indeed "lekker"!
