When fighting the super storm the plane is hit by lightning. This takes out 2 of the 3 generators on board. The status display shows generators 1 and 2 are off with number 3 on. Shortly afterward one of the crew reports that generators 2 and 3 were lost but number 1 is still on-line.
The KC-135 tanker in the movie takes off with is Air Refueling (AR) Flood Light, located at the aft of the jet above the boom. These aircrafts do not take off with them on. They are only turned on during the refuel.
The KC-135 during the refuel has no PDI lights on. The PDI, or Pilot Direction Indicator, lights are used to direct the receiver aircraft on where to position himself for the refuel. The PDI lights are located on the belly of the aircraft.
When the boom of the KC-135 broke off of the 747, fuel would not still be coming out the way it did. The boom has a shut off value, and once disconnected from the receiver aircraft the fuel would stop to flow.
On several occasions, various computer monitors display misspelled words such as "LENGHT" and "HITROGEN".
Echolson calls the security guard "sergeant" several times during their discussion. The guard then picks up the phone and identifies himself as "Major Jim Pembry". Also, "Pembry's" name tag says "T. Becks"
