The game sees Hellboy “on a series of vastly different and wholly unique adventures” that are all tied to the mysterious Butterfly House.
Built in 1962 by occultist Pasquale Deneveaux, The Butterfly House is actually a gateway into a terrible and fascinating dimension called The Wyrd. Aporia is the second film I have watched in the last few weeks which has kind of tackled time travel but not been what most people would call a time travel movie. And that’s no bad thing. The first movie was the beautiful anime The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes. It was an excellent and interesting new take on time travel, and you can read my review for Nerdly here.
Aporia might feel a little bit more familiar – it has a slightly different take on The Butterfly Effect but it might just be as beautiful as the animated movie I have just mentioned.
The always reliable Judy Greer plays Sophie. A mother who since losing her husband (and father of their child) has struggled to be a good parent,...

The 2019 Hellboy movie didn’t turn out the way anyway involved with it was hoping it would, but that hasn’t stopped Hellboy comic book creator Mike Mignola from teaming up with Crank co-director Brian Taylor to make another film called Hellboy: The Crooked Man. While we wait to get a look at that film, which stars Jack Kesy as Hellboy himself, Upstream Arcade and Good Shepherd Entertainment have unveiled a gameplay trailer for their upcoming video game Hellboy: Web of Wyrd – and you can watch it in the embed at the bottom of this article!
A release date for Hellboy: Web of Wyrd has not yet been announced.

Biopics are at times really difficult to make with all the clichés that come with. But there are some who seem to evade all of these pitfalls and create some great moving images. One of those directors is the painter Julian Schnabel. He is a man who seems to create such poetic images on celluloid few can dispute his visions. His most recent work in the French The Diving Bell and The Butterfly was by far one of the greatest Biopics ever made. His idea of mixing poetic prose into the cinematic language has made a darling of the critics.
This film seems to me more like an ode a to the great man Reinaldo Arenas. He believes that beauty in the form of writing always needed to be preserved. But the people were mainly the causes of decay in the Cuban Communist movements. He was hounded all his life for his writings.

“I’m still in denial that I’m leaving,” said Michelle Williams, aka the Butterfly, following her dramatic unmasking at the end of Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer.” Butterfly lost her initial face-off against Fox, which sent her to the smackdown where she competed against Thingamajig. The panelists — Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke and Joel McHale — then voted to send her home, which meant Butterfly had to reveal her true identity in front of America. Watch Michelle’s exit interview above.

The unrequited showmance between “The Masked Singer” judge Nicole Scherzinger and costumed contestant Thingamajig hit a snag during Wednesday’s 10th hour when fellow panelist Ken Jeong declared, “I really think we’re going off the rails here. This is about the performance. This isn’t the Masked Tinder!” At first the showmance appeared to be just for laughs, but after this week’s episode it was clear Nicole’s infatuation with Thingamajig was for real. Hey, where’s Anthony Anderson when we need him to officiate the wedding?

“The Masked Singer” finally returns with new episodes tonight. Yes, episodes, because after two weeks off due to the World Series, the network decided to give fans a double dose of its oddball singing competition this week. TheWrap has an exclusive clip from the two-hour block, featuring the Black Widow who, according to panelist Ken Jeong, has the best “crouch game” he’s ever seen.
In the video above, you’ll get a better idea of what he’s talking about, as he tells the black-and-red arachnid that her voice “makes people stand up the more you crouch down.” Jeong takes that compliment further by telling the masked celeb she crouches better than all the other contestants who have competed on both the show’s first and second season, which is pretty high praise.

Episode 4 of “The Masked Singer” saw the return of three celebrities from week one — Butterfly, Skeleton and Thingamajig — who again climbed into their elaborate costumes and took to the stage to perform a hit song. On the premiere episode, each had earned enough votes after they sang to stay in the competition.
While the Butterfly and Thingamajig won over the audience, Skeleton was forced into a sing-off with the Egg. The latter lost out with the judges and was revealed to be Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir. We’ve been doing some digging about the identities of all of the remaining contestants. Keep reading for “The Masked Singer” spoilers, including the real name of the Skeleton.

Exclusive: CBS Films has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to At Eternity’s Gate, a drama about Vincent Van Gogh’s ambition to be accepted as a great painter, and his plunge into depression when he was rejected. Introduced for the Cannes Market by CAA Media Finance, the film is directed by The Diving Bell and The Butterfly helmer Julian Schnabel. Van Gogh is played by Willem Dafoe, who’s coming off a Best Supporting Actor nomination for The Florida Project. The film was produced by Jon Kilik. Oscar Isaac, Rupert Friend, Mads Mikkelsen and Mathieu Amalric co-star.
The picture is in post-production, and sources said the deal includes a 7-figure minimum guarantee, with an Oscar qualifying run and platform release late 2018. It becomes one of several very promising pictures to be bought by distributors and will help shape awards season. The promo for Schnabel’s film was very impressive,...

2008 saw No Country For Old Men, Tilda Swinton and The Golden Compass take home Oscar gold...
Films have a habit of being judged twice at the very least. There’s the instant reaction, through box office and awards season. Then there’s the more circumspect view, as a film has dropped out of the original limelight it bathed in.

As it's Oscar weekend, therefore, we’re continuing a Den Of Geek tradition, and going back a decade, to see how the films that were rewarded at the 2008 ceremony stand up today. It wasn’t a show without the odd surprise, but it was still one of the least contentious Oscar nights in recent memory, hosted by Jon Stewart. And...

Films on the cutting edge. That's how I would describe the 50 movies on this list. While some moviegoers may find it an 'alien' experience to refer to sub-titles in understanding what's happening on the big screen, a good number of audiences are totally enjoying the different and often surprising take by many foreign filmmakers, nothwithstanding the language barrier.
Content-wise, the 50 movies feature stories about war and peace, love and romance, family affairs, coming-of-age tales, cultural and religious diversity, social issues (including prostitution and abortion) and personal - celebrating life or facing death with dignity. Coverage-wise, tMF list down many of the best foreign films from 2000 until last year from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and about 15 other countries in Europe, North and Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
