I just got this on DVD. The film touches on the Jacobite history and also other factors such as great Scottish music, scenery and even the supernatural. I found it very enjoyable. My only regret is that its only 58min long. I felt they could have delved a little more into the history and also more emotion from Alan. Its also great that the production team was mainly Scottish. I definitely recommend this to everyone interested in Scotland, its history, and even its people. The special features include the making of loch lomond, the trailer, and a sing along. I absolutely love the way they have the 'ghostly' sounds on the main menu. Now I just need the soundtrack and Ill be set.

I actually saw this movie in the museum at Loch Lomond. It was probably the best part of the trip because the otter thing really blew chunks. The mechanical otter was just really silly. I think my family was a little embarrassed because they had just met my sister and I and the first thing we saw in Scotland after a super long flight and being awake for more than 26 hours. But it was hilarious. However this video wasn't too bad. Typical Imax presentation, but the story line kinda sucked.
I really only voted this a 10 because of the memories I have tied with it. Best trip ever! But seriously if you ever do go to Scotland and go to Loch Lomond go see this. It'll make up for the otter. Best mechanical otter I've ever seen!

The only redeeming things about this film are the music and scenery. Otherwise pretty much a lacklustre film.
