"Regular Joe" is a brilliant new sitcom on ABC. The premise is simple, four generations of a family in an unusual lifestyle, but often most realistic. Joe Binder is the father, the widower, the owner of a hardware shop in Queens, New York. Baxter is Joe's father who has handed down the shop to Joe yet continues to work there as to keep a special tie to his family. Grant, portrayed by phenomenal young actor John Francis Daley, is the teenage son who struggles with the pressures of high school, learning how to drive, being in a terrible band, working in his dad's shop, getting the girls to notice him, and figuring out how he can be funny in order to take the spotlight off his fear of all these things. Joanie is the college daughter who is also raising her own daughter without the presence of her own mother. The plots are both touching and hysterical. The characters have depth and continue to unravel with each episode. "Regular Joe" is a true gem and should be strongly considered for another season.
