A beautiful story, fine direction by Ashutosh Bandyopadhyay, heart-warming music by Sudhin Dasgupta, and vocals by Manna Dey and Asha Bhonsle, make it a classic Bengali film with Soumitra and Tanuja who paired up also for Prothom Kodom Phool released the same year. Their chemistry was palpable and I particularly liked the silent and brooding character of Soumitra's brother in the film which somehow reflects the crisis the youth of the day faced in Bengal. 9/10, recommended.
