This serial's ratings were initially so-so in Singapore, but when it was exported to East Asia, it became a hit in Taiwan and China, where TV stations played reruns immediately after the last episode aired and ratings climbed new highs.
This serial was a purely Singapore production, and immense popularity in East Asia for a Singapore serial was never heard of.
