Life on a Leash is a sweet tale about Stella, a lonely woman who seems to be looking for love in all the wrong places. She's got a boring job and a snotty boss. She's trying to be a painter, but one phone call from her mother can cause her to destroy her latest work. She is, from the looks of it, lost. But she doesn't really realize this until a dog, who's also lost, chooses her for its companion. Since Stella doesn't even like dogs, it takes her a while to finally open her heart. When she can finally do that for the dog, she finds she's able to be more open and honest with her human companions as well. No car crashes, no explosions, just the quiet recognition that, animal or human, we're all in this life together.
